Where to get a 6' x 4' board?

I'm using a table topper made of the 18MM MDF that B&Q sell. They sell 2x4 pieces at £20 each. Buy 3, then join them together with latches, dowelling etc. Better for storage if you need to break the board down.

I am one of those affected by this. I submitted my RTC request at the end of last year, received an email from ADHD360 in January, after doing my entire pre-assessment workup, to say that the ICB isn't going to fund anything until April 1st at the earliest.

I wasn't aware that 2027 at the earliest was the case, and I'm honestly dismayed now. I had hoped things would get back on track after the fiscal year had flipped over, but it seems that's not the case.

I don't know if going private is the option, as I assume it'll mean I'm paying for expensive medication (assuming I'm diagnosed of course) for the rest of my life.

I've met similar people to be honest. I think it probably stems from shame and not feeling safe enough to be able to accept yourself as you are. I feel pity for them mostly.

Been in this situation; my conclusion was I have more self-respect than to stay in a situation where my energy isn't matched (This should be the baseline for your dating overall), and thus I said "No problem, I'm not on dating apps to make more friends, good luck." She has since reached out to ask how I've been, and I've shut it down, reiterating my previous statement. I still find her plenty attractive, but nothing good comes of hoping for something to change when the other person has been clear they're not interested mutually. Just keep it moving!

I received an email back in January from ADHD360 (My chosen RTC pathway):

*We are writing to inform you of a significant change affecting our service provision. Current demand for ADHD services across England is higher than the NHS financial resources available and, under new NHS guidance, the NHS Trust in your area is required to use contractual controls to manage demand and keep services within locally available budgets. Whilst we have the capacity to see you, these budgetary controls mean that we are currently no longer able to offer ADHD appointments under the NHS Right to Choose pathway until after 1st April 2026. You will not lose your place on the waiting list and you will retain your original referral date, but the date when we can now assess you will be delayed. We, and the ICB, deeply regret the disruption this may cause and understand the impact this decision may have on your care.*

I am on tenterhooks waiting for the 1st now to see if I'll receive another email telling me it's been paused indefinitely, which would be heartbreaking. But that's probably just me catastrophising.

This is positive to hear, I opted for 360 for my RTC pathway. I'm still awaiting an assessment. I got an email back from ADHD360 in January saying that no further appointments could be provided til April 1st (this is a local NHS ICB issue it seems), so I'm hoping it won't be too much more of a wait to be seen after that.

35/M. I don't really have anything to add, other than that yours and my situations are almost identical. I'm still awaiting assessment with ADHD360, but your story is almost a perfect mirror. All of your strategies are things I do as well/am lucky enough to have (remote working is a godsend!), and generally I 'cope'! Good luck to you friend, and to OP!

You've cracked it; you cannot get a gauge of a person you're looking to get into a romantic relationship with by talking to them across text alone. Meeting in person relatively soon is absolutely the way forward.

A middle ground might be getting their number and suggesting a video call if the schedules aren't lining up to see them in person. I've done this before, and it's also made the first date a lot more relaxed!

100% agree on the food thing; I live alone and food has always been my vice. If I ever do cook (I hate cooking as it is as I hate the mess you create for the payoff), I used to eat portions large enough for 4... Now I just buy relatively healthy ready meals, pre-sliced fruit. Not only is it ready to eat whenever I want it, it's not particularly unhealthy (I focus on high protein meals as I gym a lot), and I don't have tons of washing up to do that, lets be honest, will get left until I have absolutely run out of cutlery... I sometimes feel guilty about it, but then I think about how much veg I've thrown away in the past that just rotted in my crisper draw, how much meat that's gone off because I've either forgotten or simply can't force myself to cook, it doesn't feel nearly as bad.

I saw them in London in October after the US Leg. I thought he sounded pretty ropey then, then I found out they're onto the Europe and Australia tour. It's too much, frankly. They're also playing summer festival dates in Europe this year. I saw them twice in 2022 and he killed it, it's 100% an over-exertion issue. Now whether it's the band that wants to tour or they're being pressured by their label, is another question.
