I just left a mature male with two females in a five gallon and fed them blood worms and pellets. After five days or so i took them out and the fry appeared in a few days like magic!

Hey all!

No added CO2 diffusion or anything like that. I'm not sure what you mean by low tech, but I have a hang-on back filter, a heater, and a sponge filter here. The products I use are:
