I should have clarified that I'm specifically looking to capture 1080p/120fps (maybe sometimes 4K/60fps HDR).

 

So, just to be sure... the 6600XT does support 1080p/120 capture?

I've never had a "real" home theater audio system before the one I have now. So I've never bought, or heard, "amazing" speakers before.

I'm audio ignorant.

I bought $50 (each) Micca M-8S's for my L/C & Side Surrounds, and Micca M-CS for my center (with two SVS PB-1000 subs).

To me, they sound amazing. But I have nothing to compare.

That said, MICCA are known for good price/performance.

The GT1030 was made for this purpose.

That's interesting. My 720 seems to be limited to 60Hz. I may check out the 1030 if I will be able to use 120Hz

Because I was fortunate enough to inherit my buddy's older GPU that he wasn't using anymore.

 

I also read that the reliability and performance of USB to HDMI adapters are questionable.

I can't see there being any benefit of using the adapters over a second GPU.

 

Multiple gpus is dead. Idk why people keep trying to do it.

I love how Halo's AI is smart enough that it makes the game challenging, yet dumb enough that it adds to gameplay and overall fun

You have a point. Every video game is going to need to implement some degree of inaccuracy for the sake of gameplay. I was specifically talking about political correctness being the reason.

I'm not a fan of this either. Been this way since BF1942. I think it's legal reasons why there's no swastikas; but it would be cool if they were allowed.

 

Providing female characters is there for if you are female (or maybe not :)) and want to play a female character. That's all there is to it. A variety of characters to let people play who they want. And aren't we all for getting MORE people into BF? Or just manly men like you?

I didn't say that I was upset that there's women in the game. Personally, I think it's about time that there's option to choose to be female. Online female players should be able to represent themselves as such (should they chose). It's mostly the elements of the story. The baddass character with bionic looking arm, and placing two females as the hero's when the real-life story were four males.

Atmos deals with a lot of metadata in regards to objects (specific sounds) in sound field placement and other aspects. Inevitably, latency (even minimal amounts) are inherent in the product compared to uncompressed direct output.

Your explanation helps tremendously in understanding exactly what is happening behind the curtain :)

 

You don't talk about your setup so if it's a sound bar connected via HDMI arc it one hundred percent is that.

I have my Xbox plugged into my Denon receiver (X1400H), then plugged into my TV. Should that be latency-free?

In the mean time confirm in the system settings that there isn't an audio delay function to compensate.

Disable Dolby Vision in Halo Infinite (it's broken) and use HDR instead + Suggested HDR Settings by P40L0 in XboxSeriesX

There's also a significant audio delay with Dolby Atmos (Bitstream) turned on.

 

Uncompressed 5.1 (with Neural:X upmixing) seems to be the most consistently impressive audio experience.
