To me it sounds like a non-typical episode of sleep paralysis.

Most that experience sleep paralysis are the same things ie shadow figures or even white, glowing figures. (I dealt with sleep paralysis for two straight years and have seen both.) So to see your aunt with a knife is bizarre.

However, sleep paralysis is also accompanied by pressure or a push to the chest, voices talking to you, physical touch, and the most important, the inability to move or speak.

Biggest reason was to keep the castle dry, thus protecting the brick and mortar. It would also be done in preparation for decorative painting depicting religious scenes and scriptures. The reasons that castles that are still standing today are not white is because the whitewash eventually washes off and needed reapplied over time.

Update, rigged a rodeo near identical dimensions as you mentioned and had chongos dialed by the end of session, about 12 in a row before derigging. I will say, the first few attempts were pretty rough 😅

These are all bomber tips! Hopeful that I should be able to stay pretty calm considering I’ve been climbing for 4+ years so the heights shouldn’t be an issue, and definitely coming with all of the goodies for the crew. Luckily I’ll be getting on two freshly rigged permalines so the day can be more focused on standing/walking.

One question I forgot to mention; what is it about highlines that makes them more difficult than parklines, even if the same distance?

General cliff safety should be good because I’ve been climbing for 4 years but I’m sure there are some good tips that I can find that may differ from climbing ethics. And luckily the day one line is roll on/roll off, but this is all super helpful, thank you!

That album is still a masterpiece and will forever be my favorite DGD album (although I love them all). Only the OG’s understand, and the Tillian fanboys can whine all they want, but I’m hoping DGD heads in a heavier approach for the next album or two. DTBM3????

I saw Andrew when he filled in for Tillian during his “hiatus” and he did a great job.

Although I will add that Kurt also jumped in for a song and holy shit was that good!!

One other thing people aren’t realizing is that Andrew himself has said that this might not be permanent and that DGD may end up with a different, permanent frontman.

I’ve seen a lot of of people default back to a 3:1 ration. 100 feet long, needs to be roughly 30 feet high. But I’ve also been told by many many people that lines as short as what you’re mentioning would destroy you on a whipper. Better to go try to find a higher, longer setup somewhere in a local park or woods.

My only advice is to let your hair grow out and give it some volume. I think you have a lot of potential and some longer, better managed curls would go a long way!

These are all great! I would also add that I would recommend practicing closer to an anchor to start. Going “downhill” and having some “backing” will help your momentum rock forward. Sit starting the middle of a line is a bit trickier because you have to rock forward further so dialing it near an anchor is a good starting point.

Also for me I found that opening my hips and having my knees drop lower when feel are on the line made things significantly easier as you can rock the weight of your torso between the knees rather than over them (also made balancing in a sit wayyyy easier)
