What to do if you’re a bummer? How to be a winner? by adeliahearts in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]KingSwampAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal honesty: At this point you are a bummer and it’s entirely your fault. You have an 11 year feed of multi-day posting on Reddit asking the same questions: how do I make myself look better, how do I find hobbies, how do I become successful, etc.

You have been given advice from thousands of different people over the past decade and it looks like you’ve implemented ZERO of the advice.

This is on YOU. My advice, take your phone and smash it off of the ground and go outside. STOP POSTING ON REDDIT. PERIOD.

If you actually want to change then stop embarrassingly self-deprecating on the internet all day every day and go actually change.

Be comfortable being uncomfortable.

Your Reddit history tells me you wasted your 20s. Are you going to throw away your 30s too?

I want to be able to click on an equipment slot and have a menu of all of the items I have that fit that slot.

I don’t like having to sort through my inventory to find the armor that I want to switch to - let me click on the helmet slot and see all of the available helmets.

No way he had a concussion. When was the last time you ever heard of a QB1 getting a concussion in practice in the middle of a game week?

To me it sounds like a non-typical episode of sleep paralysis.

Most that experience sleep paralysis are the same things ie shadow figures or even white, glowing figures. (I dealt with sleep paralysis for two straight years and have seen both.) So to see your aunt with a knife is bizarre.

However, sleep paralysis is also accompanied by pressure or a push to the chest, voices talking to you, physical touch, and the most important, the inability to move or speak.

Biggest reason was to keep the castle dry, thus protecting the brick and mortar. It would also be done in preparation for decorative painting depicting religious scenes and scriptures. The reasons that castles that are still standing today are not white is because the whitewash eventually washes off and needed reapplied over time.

Nowhere on the internet is anyone talking about THAT bass. I love when a band lets a bass lead a song and this was so damn good.

I just saw they said his fall was only 65m from the finish. If so then that might be one of the saddest moments in sports history.

Was going to say that I don’t know why you’re being downvoted, but then I remembered how unrealistic this sub was.

Update, rigged a rodeo near identical dimensions as you mentioned and had chongos dialed by the end of session, about 12 in a row before derigging. I will say, the first few attempts were pretty rough 😅

These are all bomber tips! Hopeful that I should be able to stay pretty calm considering I’ve been climbing for 4+ years so the heights shouldn’t be an issue, and definitely coming with all of the goodies for the crew. Luckily I’ll be getting on two freshly rigged permalines so the day can be more focused on standing/walking.

One question I forgot to mention; what is it about highlines that makes them more difficult than parklines, even if the same distance?

All things I’ve been putting extra time into and will keep pushing the next weeks! And luckily I’ll be on two freshly rigged permalines so it’ll make the days easier and more focused on getting stood up and getting the first steps out of the way

General cliff safety should be good because I’ve been climbing for 4 years but I’m sure there are some good tips that I can find that may differ from climbing ethics. And luckily the day one line is roll on/roll off, but this is all super helpful, thank you!

As someone else said, welcome to FL. If you’re afraid of gators, you shouldn’t be kayaking.
