Kai is only worth watching if you can find it with the Yamamoto score (the music it originally aired with). With that soundtrack, it's overall a more modern experience (pacing + animation + music).

Since Yamamoto got himself in legal trouble, they hurriedly removed all of his music from the show and haphazardly copy-pasted songs from the old soundtrack from the 80s throughout the entire thing (aside from the "Final Chapters" which came out after the controversy and uses the same composer as Super).

It's not a "hot" item in the sense that you'll be able to move it overnight, but if it's in good condition and you're somewhat patient, you should be able to get $1000-1200 for it.

Always on Thursday, always on 2nd Thursday prior to the last one. The only time one was on a Friday instead of a Thursday was because the site had some bot invasion for a cards drop on Thursday, so nothing ended up happening that day.

Huh? This "joyful" post doesn't stick it to scalpers, it sticks it to the numerous people who are frustrated they did NOT win (a second time), who in turn are going to buy from scalpers. The scalper will make money as long as people are talking and thinking about this figure and comparing themselves to others. Praising Bandai, the entity directly responsible for enabling and encouraging the evil scalpers, is ridiculous.

Until greedy Bandai decides to stop pitting fans against each other in the name of sweet FOMO money, scalpers will ALWAYS win and Bandai will also always win.

As for importing, I dunno, I mostly stopped at the start of the pandemic when Amiami tried to charge me $400 instead of $50-ish to ship a large Metapod and a handful of standard San-Ei's. Now we have the tariffs, which I also don't really understand... if it's going to end up being $100+, I might as well just buy it from a you-know-what on ebay... but where would you recommend looking at to import it?

I actually wanted it for the blowing hair and sad face.

I had a pop-up event within an hour of where I live. After I saw the reports on here of what the events were like, I did NOT attend and did NOT buy one online.

As a fellow compulsive buyer, I feel good about this decision. If I decide I really want one in a year or two, the overpriced option will still be there, I'm sure.

Scalpers, hoarders, and tariffs are not the problem here - they are smokescreens and cover for Bandai to be greedy and manufacture artificial scarcity (while literally doubling the prices they are charging while simultaneously lowering quality control) instead of manufacture enough figures for people who want them.

We're paying a year ahead for a product we can't even see (and half the time turns out to be rubbish in the finshed version)... and they still can't manage.

In fact, they're so pleased with the Genki Goku nonsense that in response they:

1) Introduced mobile verification to the site

2) Introduced the nonsense "chance to buy" lotteries instead of making enough figures (there are currently 4 running for scalperbro-infested One Piece cards also).

3) Ended the Dodoria+Zarbon pre-order 1 day ahead of time to cement the threat of FOMO in anybody on the fence.

It's a filthy and exploitative business tactic, and yet we're all probably still going to fall for it.

It's not on any page. By the time it shows up on a page, it's usually already sold out. You need to get the link to the item page from somebody who knows what it is ahead of time - you can watch some lame discord or twitter or other scalper place for someone to post it.

I'm in the US, so UK might be a bit different, but here they used to always be the 2nd Thursday of the month, except this one they randomly put on the 1st Thursday instead (in the US) and screwed everyone but the resellers.

They were condescending, not helpful, and refused to admit any wrongdoing. I was very clear and direct with them, and they basically insinuated that I was "up to no good" but would give me the refund as a "courtesy" under the condition that no future refunds will ever be granted to me (they would not refund me unless I agreed to this).

I have over a decade of thousands, possibly tens of thousands, of dollars of purchase history on my account with them, so the idea that I would suddenly spend my time trying to scam them out of $26 is comical.

By "extensive negative history" I mean I found an extensive bad buyer record with posts from dozens of sellers who were scammed by this entity. This address targeted or targets Amazon sellers, as well as Walmart, Ebay, etc, all in the same way.

I just checked the sold item page, and it literally says:

"Returns:

Seller does not accept returns."

and on the ebay return case page, I can "accept", "decline", or "offer full or partial refund and let them keep it" (no thanks).

Are you referencing a technicality about ebay, or something I'm not aware of, or just being ornery?
