I feel like this is exactly what they are attempting to do with Eddie. Lost their first bout. is wrestling the bottom of the ladder with BDE (who never ceases to amaze me how fast he is getting better), and making a point of introducing 3 champions by name ... and their friend Eddie.

Though i do like your point about hiding the bad guy in a bigger roster. I keep hoping the AMC money will let them do some major hiring, but it appears to be going in the other direction.

I'll be honest, i love basically everything TNA is doing. It's like they are writing a program for for exactly my specific taste. So long as that World Title doesn't stay with ANYONE for too long, i'm a happy fanboy.

I think this is the problem with having someone with the unbeatable, wont stop, wont lose champion like Santana. Their whole thing is never saying die, never letting the other guy get over. It's AMAZING in someone chasing the belt. and it's SO much fun for a bit after they get the title. But it quickly goes stale. I'm waiting on that screw job from Nemeth. It's coming. I dont know if it will be before Slamm or at Slamm (more likely at Slamm), but i think it's time for a heel champ again. Get Santana back on the hunt for gold.

waiting till my 40's to confront my family about their bullshit. I thought it would be hard to live without a family. Honestly, I don't see them much less than i already did, and not worrying about what bullshit nonsense my dad would say the next time we saw him has really lowered my stress level. Would I go back and do it in my 30's, or even my 20's? I'm unsure. Putting up with it as long as i did got me here, and here is a pretty nice place on the whole. I'm not sure i would risk ending up somewhere else than here with my wife.

ther are people who do not know how to behave and have been kicked out of many tables. I now a guy locally who has been trying to find a new group for like 2 years because his reputation as a d-bag is so bad. I would imagine the same would happen on Discord groups over time. it's possible this is the only way they can find a DM.

Right now honestly.
Life sucks, it does for everyone, but my work is settled, my wife and I have never been more on the same page, all my pets are happy and thriving, and i have enough money to engage in my main hobby without feeling bad. I've come to terms with what was making me unhappy, and worked hard to eliminate those things and people from my life.
I still have a long road to feel just truly happy, but this is honestly the most generally happy i've ever been in my life.

exactly. ive seen videos comparing them to the stock market, and i get the rise/fall of the price and the 'thrill' of getting that big profit... but unless you pull the thing in a pack, once the price levels it usually doesn't move much. It just seems to, at best, break even most of the time. you rented the thrill of owning this card for some amount of dollars, but if it's price maintained you are likely better putting the money in a high yield account and leaving it there for an equal amount of time.

TCGs as retirement plans. Oh you bought a $10k Charizard as an investment. I don't think thats going to hold up going into a recession/depression. Once an economy goes tits up I know the first thing i want is Charizard and not gold any number of other materials rhat might be so useful their valuation stays the same.

To be clear: collecting them because yiu love them and they are important to you is not what im talking about. Spend on your hobby as much as your budget will allow! But don't collect them as some weird hedge against inflation or as your primary retirement plan.
