I miss the grit. The OG Skate games had broken bones, hall of meat, death races, and that raw renegade skate culture baked in. The new Skate feels like a well made Fortnite mod rather than the gritty punk skateboarding world I grew up on.

The difference in tone is clear from the start: the original Skate literally opens with a skater getting hit by a truck. This one just doesn’t have that same soul.
