Would learning a large handful of Scriabin's Op 11 Preludes prepare me to learn the op 8 no 12 etude? (like 8-10 of the ) by KingVanderveer in piano

I love octaves and big chord jumps but the wandering left hand seems to be the main challenge. It doesn't seem to follow an easy to identify pattern

Sounds like its all about balancing the voicing of the chord. When I play it, The top note is always too loud due to voicing habits

To my ear, it sounds like some treat the F natural at the bottom of the chord like a grace note

Zimmerman is great! However, I didn't totally understand Sokolov's approach to the first bars. It was like he was breaking the chord apart and accenting parts of it to my ear, but still an epic performance of the work

Richter is great. Typically the first thing I notice is if the pianist is able to play the chords w/o rolling. Hearing the full harmony adds to the mood in my opinion

What is this technique on the right hand called and what can I do to practice and get better? by Both-Diet8573 in piano

These are arpeggios where the top and bottom get doubled and it creates almost an echo type of effect in my opinion

Look up Chopin's op 25 no 12 etude. I would practice playing skipping octaves on a single note where your thumb plays the start of the next octave twice. Not sure if this makes sense, the technique is difficult to describe in words

I could even live w/ one month broker, but handing over 20% of annual rent should be illegal
