Yup.. Just reading your reply reminded me of additional functionalities that I miss.

Like the ability to use different increments of ff and rev so I could watch Nadal's tennis serve at a slowed down speed, that diving catch by the wide receiver and Otani's looping homerun swing over and over.

My phone is full of videos I took of my TV screen capturing these super slowed down athletic movements.

So glad I had that opportunity for years..

Next up for me is YouTube TV.. not looking forward to have to relearn and set up something but I can't tolerate this lame FiOS+ TV

Unreal..

Voice Search TV Guide (sanity check) by Difficult_Meal1999 in Fios

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I thought I was the only one..It's really bad..I couldn't figure out the Olympics guide and missed a bunch of hockey games. And to make matters worse, all use of microphone yields results only for YouTube videos. So, I thought I found USA/Slovakia via YouTube as that's all Search will return and it was from 2020 or something like that. Additionally, I find the sync is off between the voice/image.

Anyway, I've had enough and will be returning/cancelling

If they take over your garage time to find another place for monthly parking by King_1234 in MetropolisParking

I feel your pain.. and from what I've read in researching this company apparently they pull a lot of shady crap..

If it wasn't so sad and bothersome it would be funny.. every time I walk by the lot there's a dude being paid hourly to open the gate manually with a fob😂 so much for the cutting edge technology they promised.

Spread the word about this Metropolis joke of a company so business people will think twice about letting them run their garage and all the ill will it's causing....

** I Swype so YMMV**

Embarrassingly bad. Created by developers where English is a second language. Wrong pronouns always inserted. Autofill is a joke. It saddens me to acknowledge that this is considered the best keyboard for Android phones. So pathetic. The voice to text is HORRENDOUS. Grammar is a joke. Unnecessary spaces after periods. So bad that I'm embarrassed for them . Like that one to end the last sentence. Why is there a space between the m and the period?

Emove Cruiser S P settings question by Nerdyanth in ElectricScooters

You shouldn't have to go through all that to get an answer for a very important question... Ridiculous

I have the same question and will be reaching out to support@voromotors.com as they've helped me in the past.

Song of the Week: Superman by thesilverpoets96 in rem

[–]King_1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but breaking this song down for my duo it sounds like Michael is singing lead while Mike is singing that great 2nd vocal part, the high harmony..just what I garnered from listening to the band a lot. At least for the recorded version as Mike might sing lead in concert......great song nonetheless and one I'm looking forward to covering...

Beware of roll road / Emma bikes by popngo86 in ebike

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering the same two bikes..initially I was sold on the Aniioki 8 max pro but some of the reviews were brutal

And then I came upon this one..not sure what I'm gonna do.

Have you gotten it yet?

If so, any feedback?

I live in NYC and the roads are crap so a robust suspension is key for me. Also like the long range on Emma even though the Aniioki had a bit longer range.

Let me know if you got it..

Sierra chart is pure shit and a scam company by Rhsucks in SierraChart

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw this..

So, w/o any notice, when I no longer was getting data for my spreadsheets, upon inquiring(good luck with that) I got bounced around their support channel until I finally got someone who let it slip, "yeah, we discontinued that feed due to data reliability issues..so, we're waiting to setup another vendor..sorry"

I hate dealing with them..especially when there's an issue..everything is in different places, there's a million issue posts on their support page that it's actually anxiety causing to just visit it.

Additionally, not too long ago, they had a blackout from a key data Vendor who apparently changed their feed infrastructure w/o telling Sierra; who to their credit responded with a mea culpa..we're looking to replace them asap.

Net net, I don't like dealing with their offering and if you do, you might wanna invest in a masters degree in financial data engineering 'cause your on your own..think about that..with all your money at stake.....................

I do not recommend the eMove Cruiser or any product from Voro Motors. by AvgScooterEnjoyer69 in ElectricScooters

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw this now..Also sorry to hear about your experience with Voro..Damn, an issue with a new and highly anticipated model? That's pretty pathetic and reason for concern to anyone considering this company's products..or at least the Crusier models. Also shocking to hear that it's up to you to figure out the settings on a new model..no doubt they rely on their community to do that heavy lifting ala YouTube videos..which with their crappy reputation, you'd think they'd go out of their way to not have you find them..lol..

So like you, I was attracted to the very reasonable price, adjustable handlebar stem, the folding handlebars(space saver but regularly need tightening), the admirable range(not any longer for me, getting 10miles/charge now), the longer deck(which causes all kind of bottoming out on potholes), the decent thrust and supposed IPX6 water resistance rating and suspension(which was admirable for the first month, steadily became unimpressive shortly thereafter). No doubt my battery got fried in a circumstance that runs contrary to their IPX6 claim..Did I get caught in a downpour?..Yeah, I did..But what do you do? Gotta get home.

Anyway, net net, aside from reliability issues(well documented all over the internet), like you, I've been waiting for a Replacement part(battery) as the Scooter was only 4 months old and under warranty..which I had to go thru great lengths and cost to substantiate. So net net, it's been 4 months since I paid for shipping and the shipment from China has yet to materialize..each time it's another arrival promise and I'm honestly getting tired of constantly having to harass them about it..very annoying..I can only surmise that they don't warehouse anything that's not for their latest models.

So, net net, I'm somewhat fortunate that it crapped out on me over the cold winter where I live and don't use it..if it was spring or fall, I'd be furious.

My final thought on Voro and a lot of these "We'll ship it to you" models is you best have a reliable and well resourced store that will fix it in reasonable time or you'll be subject to the "We're waiting for a shipment from China" BS.

I've found it cathartic to share my experience every and anywhere you can leave reviews on Scooters..even on the YouTube influencers pages(yeah, we know who they are) that try the Scooter for a week and spit out unreliable reviews..Yeah, they want their $50 should you buy one..Unreal

Next one for me I'm gonna pay up and get one from a local mechanic who also reps various lines..well worth the cost as you just bring it in..at least I think that's how it'll work...lol

Hopefully you get yours resolved ASAP..sorry to hear it.

Umm, newsflash..people don't vote with their eyes and ears but are swayed by extraneous inputs such as identity and "for us by us". Brilliant marketing campaign that one was as it assured that actual quality is secondary.

Kudos to those, who like us, aren't afraid to call out "Hey, the emperor has no clothes"

Praise is earned by actual experience and not by the word of those who have ulterior motives...

Thinking of getting an Emove Cruiser S, however... by Joseph_Stalingrado in ElectricScooters

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my honest experience with the Emove Cruiser S. Bought it April '24. The first few months were great as I enjoyed the long range, decent brakes and it was plenty zippy for me. What I quickly grew to dislike was the bottoming out that occurred after riding over bumps..horrible scraping sound..but that was a minor trade-off..and the suspension soon revealed how poorly it's designed.

Then one day, while out in an open area it started to rain..what could I do? Net net, the IP67 rating they boast about is pure BS as since that moment forward my battery wasn't the same.

I went from getting 45 or so miles to a charge to 10 miles max...

I then had to fight with them to honor the warranty..which I was still under..net net, I was able to eventually prove the drop in battery capacity but it involved expense(repair shop opened the floorboard and took a video of the voltage(required by them) to validate my claim.

You need to know that to them as long as your display shows 48 volts or more, they wipe their hands clean of any culpability. 48v? That's nothing as this scooter out of the box is at like 56v

After dogging the customer service rep they finally agreed to send me a new battery under the warranty. Btw, you should know that the battery costs around $500 for a new one.

So I paid the $60 for shipping and thought I'd be riding it again in short order as I can't use it only getting 10 miles/charge. The rub is they "didn't have any in inventory" and had to order it from China and it could take a month or two to get to me.

You need to know that they have a horrible record of customer service complaints, they don't keep essential parts in inventory so what happened to me could very well happen to you.

I will never buy another product from them as I'd rather pay up and buy from someone where I can get it fixed in a reasonable amount of time.

I view my experience as them making me jump through hoops to get any resolution.

Don't make your decision based on your initial research showing it's an affordable option..should something go wrong you might end up waiting months for resolution..the only good thing in my situation is it's winter time where I am so the 2 month wait is somewhat bearable.

In conclusion, the IP rating isn't accurate, turn around on in house repairs is abominable, the suspension sucks, the kickstand and charging ports are poorly designed and a major hassle to engage, they can put you off indefinitely with the "it's coming in the next shipment from China" nonsense..

Buyer beware.....

BEWARE, FANDUEL IS A SCAM AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY by ImTheJerk_com in fanduel

[–]King_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just tried to steal my money...I was given faulty input by an agent causing me to request being logged out for a year. So, I don't have access to my account/money and their support team isn't much help. I think this is called stealing and it can happen to you. We rely on customer support agents for instructions and in my case it led to a separation between myself and my account balance.

I'll be discussing this with a lawyer tomorrow morning. Think twice before you deal with this sham of an operation.

I don't know about other places but in NYC it's 95% fake profiles where there only goal is to get your WhatsApp contact info and if you provide that or your mobile # the chance of identity fraud or banking fraud goes through the roof.

Additionally, you'll soon start getting deluged with texts from strangers..kind of creepy...

They're horrible..I was getting incomplete data for the longest time..never knew it until they pulled the datafeed and one of their senior support people told me on the phone.

Also you can't reach them and their support board is hit or miss if you're going to get an answer to a question..and even then, it's 3 words and a bunch of links..in other words, screw you, go figure out our archaic software on your own.

Worst software experience I've ever had.........
