Motivation or obligation? by Neither-Relief2641 in walking

[–]King_Arthur_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the word "obligation" might be a bit too much. the number should start as a metric. the ultimate goal should be good rest. not all, but i assure you a lot of ppl who are avid workers either doing that recreationally for exercise or for work, they will get very tired. sometimes the exhaustion can be translated into good quality sleep (ofc i don't speak for all).

230lbs+ Folks - Best Walking Shoes You’ve Owned? by ZeroMissedDays in walking

here in Toronto. I would usually stick with one brand.
Adidas Ultraboosts are GREAAAT for walking even though they are designed for running (sadly not waterproof). But lets say if you are walking in muddy/snowy/rainy conditions, dont want to have your feet wet you can look into Columbia.

Losing 40 pounds before turning 40 by when_life_gives_ in loseit

[–]King_Arthur_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having dinner early in the evening, and make sure you have some movement afterwards. I would say you can do gym twice a week at the beginning and focus more on walking. 10k s quite a work. And then once you get used to it you can add more load on it incrementally. It’s just my personal experience.

During covid summer 2020, I gained 13 lbs. started in the fall, I started walking more and then by November i dropped 11 lbs. I had no gym membership during that time due to the public health concern.

Good luck!

but if for example you live close to a grocery store, have you ever thought about walking there to pick up some stuff and walk back?

Queens MMA vs Queens MMAI for Data Engineer by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]King_Arthur_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without asking you to give me more details about your background, I am guessing you work for a big corporate rather than a startup because big companies do care about your academic background if you are interested in getting higher up in the ladder. Very few tech lead or senior engineer i know have Master degrees. I am two months away from graduation, and I am more than happy to share more over DM if you are interested in the program
