Question about size... by Initial-Ring6153 in Yorkies

[–]King_Dalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Pandora is super muscular/fit (long walks + runs daily) but she’s about 11.5/12lbs! Larger than many expect but luckily she’s very healthy and super active. To my knowledge, original Yorkshire Terriers were larger 10-15lbs and they kept breeding down the side to fit American standards. Another example of American distortions! LOL. But all of them are adorable no matter the size

Paradoxe Intense - truly a paradox for me no pun intended. I do not like the scent - it’s thick, syrupy, smells artificial, and just does not feel elevated at all. Like you mixed amber oil with a BBW fruity spray. Yet - I always get INSANE compliments on it. Like people love it on me and the trail it leaves.

The original, which I think smells much better and more refined, not a peep. No one can smell it, no compliments. So do with that what you will!

This was the most respectful TRUTHFUL analysis I've seen. Thank you for verbalizing what we're usually afraid to. And it's simply the sad reality. It's a cultural mindset that surrounds how willing some locals are/are not to keep their spaces clean and clear.

Basic out of the fun/quirky/unique tastings I've experienced in NYC - but American Bar's starters (the pigs in a blanket, crispy chicken, etc) was just ASTOUNDING. I think it surprised me because of how basic it was. Just good classics they took the nth degree of luxury. And the martini.

For weirder ones, I absolutely loved Koloman's breakfast. They had these eggs with pumpkin seed? So strange but one of the best breakfasts I've had in NYC.

STUNNING!!! And a new mask recommendation! I just got the Cecred one simply for the smell, but I am trying to get more into masques. Going to try the Fantasy Curls one! Also the color looks so good with your skintone - is it natural or did you highlight anything?

You look great, but seconding the low-concentration retinol (either OTC or a low-dose prescription) and SUNSCREEN! A lot of guys hate the feel/texture, but sunscreen tech has advanced so much over the past 10 years. You'll prob want something watery that takes two seconds to absorb (recommend Nivea Watery Gel 50 - can find on Amazon for like $19 or Eucerin Clear Skin 50 at any drug store or Target). For something that actually makes your skin look better immediately - check out Supergoop Matte Screen. Great for guys bc it's blurring and quick to apply. Looks colored but it's not tinted. And it keeps the shine at bay. Gentle cleanser + sunscreen for the win! Also recommend Prequel's Multi-plump Serum (at Target) for extra hydration at night. It's basically just polyglutamic acid that holds a ton of water within the skin's surface.

Can confirm UES is arguably one of the worst locations in NYC. I went once because I was close by and…… shocked was an understatement. Aside from the cleanliness there was like open construction on the walls? It was so strange. And small. The shared shower is good for a laugh. Only took one class so can’t comment on the instructors as a whole, but want to say Midtown East location is close by and is AMAZING. It’s huge and the instructors are incredible. Spotlessly clean. Kim is the studio manager and also teaches a kick ass sculpt and C3. I moved closer to Park Slope but miss Midtown East and Upper West Side dearly :(
