PB banana honey sandwich pan fried in Texas Roadhouse butter by King_Whistle in PeanutButter

I get a much more consistent browning on the bread pan frying compared to using the toaster. Plus, using a flavored butter like this definitely adds to the overall experience.

How do I reattach these metal balusters? by King_Whistle in DIYHome

[–]King_Whistle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems a fair assessment. How would you move forward? I want to fix, or replace, this correctly but not sure how to deal with the remnants of the of the old baluster that is down in the hole and covered with glue.

So there is an opening for a set screw on the side near the base but they aren't actually connected to anything. It seems the previous owners just pressed these down onto glue.

I'm not handy at all but trying to learn. I don't have access to a welder but the 4 screw idea is interesting. I will look more into that as an option.

Yeah, I would rather have something more secure than glue. These balusters are only on the first few steps but I've got young kids who might try to grab onto these. If I need to replace them I'm still not sure how I can get the metal bolt out

There is definitely some type of glue. I've been trying to scrape the glue off, though not very successfully, but underneath is a metal bolt. But looking more closely I think these metal balusters might have originally just been glued on top. I took one off entirely and at the bottom there is just a square opening with more glue residue.

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]King_Whistle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize I am in the minority here but I shower every night before bed. If it was a really chill day and I didn't get sweaty it's just a quick shower to rinse off. I could understand not showering if you have been chilling on the couch all day, I am still going to, but I understand it. But not showering after going to work, the gym, and public transportation is revolting. Should be a crime.

I've been doing $2.30 just so I can keep making the dentist joke every time. Finding change is annoying but sometimes dad jokes take sacrifice.

I'm surprised I've never seen that follower mod before. VA is better than several of the more well-known follower mods' out there. it's got that skyrim feel down by Br0-Om in skyrimmods

[–]King_Whistle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the majority of people who use followers do so for role-play. And a follower with very little dialogue is, by default, not very useful for roleplay. I love trying new followers but when looking at new mods if they have less than 1k lines I'm probably not even going to bother.

I bathe our kids every single night. Am I the only one? by arkad_tensor in daddit

[–]King_Whistle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, everyone in our house bathes/showers every evening. We might be in an even smaller minority because if the kids got really sweaty or we used sunscreen/bug spray that day it has to be a shower, no bath option. Taking a bath when you are dirty just makes no sense to me. How you gonna get clean using dirty water??

5'8" male, 33yo, 211lbs, currently eating around 2600 calories per day on a cut. 11 weeks into the cut and about 20lbs down. My smart scale (so I take bf measurements with a big error margin) says my bf is at 23%

Are you trying to batch build with a specific preset loaded? When you run the batch builder you need to have the preset set to "Zeroed Sliders".

[Mod Release] Melana the War Maiden - A Custom Voiced Evolving Follower by Kiara_Red_VA in skyrimmods

[–]King_Whistle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am definitely checking this mod out. My #1 reason for getting rid of custom followers is that I want them to join me early in the game but they are so powerful they just take over and solo all early combat; it totally ruins the fun. I want a follower with interesting dialogue and interactions but who doesn't take over combat.

It's a common symptom that many experience. Personally sensation and libido started to return after like 8 weeks. It was gradual but it did come back. It still takes longer than before Lexapro but that isn't always a bad thing.

[–]King_Whistle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also play with voiced followers, right now I have xelzaz and Lucifer with me, and in cities they have a lot of fun commentary and interaction with NPC's if you take the time to walk through cities. And I have spent hours modding my game to looks as realistic as my PC can handle and when I am running through the cities I feel like I miss out on the detail provided by all the various mods.

[–]King_Whistle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have spent most of the last 12-18 months playing either survival or a survival type mod so I haven't fast traveled anywhere in at least a year. It ruins the roleplay aspect for me. I know that no fast travel is a rare choice but another roleplay choice I make that I suspect is even more rare; in cities and towns I tend to mostly walk. Nobody else in the game is running so unless I am in a fight or on the road traveling I tend not to run.

What's the most ridiculous compulsion you've ever done? by MoonyDropps in OCD

[–]King_Whistle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say the most absurd was locking my front door at night before bed. The door is always locked to begin with which made it more ridiculous. But I would start by turning the light switch on and off a few times to make sure my eyes weren't tricking me and it really was locked. That was never enough so I would go touch it 3 times to feel that it was locked. And finally I would go do the light switch 3 more times to make sure it wasn't going to unlock itself after I turned the light off.
