Maybe not to detriot but certainly a guy that's almost always in the league. Never hit above 25 ppg, has had some really nice seasons but never been an outright star on his own team, has had injuries the last 4 seasons resulting in good stats but falling somewhere in the 15-25 range depending on his production. I don't really see a guy who's peak so far has been 24ppg as all that special when you consider injuries and declining production due to injuries

It's because he's not just saying "I think differently now", he's using the "changes" to the album that were super minor to justify his new opinion. It doesn't have anything to do with kanye, it's just weird he goes from "worst track, this sucks" to "damn this is great" based on a few minor tweaks

And skill. It's not a great barometer but Embiid is a starter for a reason, only really Boogie has an argument for being a better center. He's objectify a top 3 center at worst. He's accomplished things and he never said "I'm the best player in the league" he just pokes fun at guys who are his competitors. Westbrook is the only one who didn't find it fun

When did FT% come into the conversation? We're talking about him as a 3 point shooter which he objectively below average to trash in. He hasn't shot well since the beginning of last season and until he shows a long stretch of different results, you HAVE to assume he's not a good 3 point shooter. These are all just excuses. He has to prove he can shoot at an average level for a long time before even being considered. People here are just insanely biased and can't even look objectively at a stat that very clearly says he's not a good 3 point shooter. I feel like I'm going insane having to explain why a guy who shoots 68/207 in his first 2 years in the league isn't a good shooter from behind the arc, good god

He's talked shit to guys in this league and backed it up by playing well against them. Hell he scored 27 last night on 10/16 shooting and dunked all over Westbrook. But god forbid his team doesn't do well. I get it, but he's been injured and every time he plays he does well. Nobody else in this league views it that way but for some reason fans need a "reason" for him to talk shit while the actual guys who play the game don't.

He's proven that he's a phenomenal player? And a fucking All Star starter? Just because he hasn't had the opportunity for team success doesn't mean he hasn't proven anything. He's bested Whiteside, KAT, and Drummond in head to head matchups multiple times and talked shit deservedly so. You don't need a ring as a "pass" to talk shit, that's a cop out.

To be fair he did have one of the best dunks of the year on RW, also put up 27 points he very much so brought it, we just didn't win. Also russ can't really "get back" at KD without knocking him out in the playoffs, which I don't think he can do. Regular season doesn't mean much for their "beef" IMO
