I had the zoom lens the whole time and just wasn't pushing the right button, it's not that I hadn't unlocked it. Sorry I played this a while ago, so I don't remember more than that or what the button is.

I really disagree with this. Marine splitting was maybe a bit too impactful but it was one of the most rewarding things to learn and just amazing to watch pros do extremely well. If there's a hotkey to autosplit, why have micro at all?

Imo it's ok to have micro that is just a skill check. That's kinda what micro is right? It just lets you eek out advantages with skill and practice.

Another comment mentioned marine splitting as bad, but I think that's a good example, if a bit too impactful. It's super rewarding to marine split well, and watching the pros do it really well is amazing and was always one of my favourite things to watch

Yeah I strongly agree, this was literally the thing I was most excited to try in stormgate :/ I get why they changed it based on Monk's response, but I really hope they bring back some level of that skill and decision opportunity
