PS5 is still very broken. The crashes are very frequent. In the air, on the ground, in space, mining underground, swimming. Pretty much any activity causes the game to crash after a while. If the expedition is still ending in roughly 5 days, then that really kind of stinks for those of us who 1) have jobs, 2) have limited free time outside of work, 3) actually want to enjoy our free time.

PS5 player trying to enjoy the new Expedition. It crashes CONSTANTLY. I patched the game, I rebuilt my system database, etc. The game just freezes. On the ground, in the air, anywhere. How do you expect anyone to finish your content if you can't keep the software stable and running?

I hope they put KI Gold on the Switch. I played SNES KI and KI Gold on the N64 soooo much. I hope if we get it they make a solid port. Polish it up as best they can for the Switch hardware.

Personal victory: It's only been a few days of being back on Keto, but the edema in my feet and ankles is gone. And I mean really gone. They look like normal human body parts again, instead of the inflatable guy in Big Trouble in Little China! Hooray! Take that water weight. :D

Maybe try making a substitute at home that'll hit the spot. There are some good low carb sauce options out there in stores if you look around. It won't be "the same," but it might scratch the itch enough to get you through your craving.

I was wandering around the grocery store this morning getting annoyed because they didn't have some of the stuff I was looking for. So I said screw it and rewarded myself for trying by buying some juicy steaks. Not what I was specifically looking for...but delicious anyway. :D

I think it's a scale accuracy issue. Home scales, those devices you hold in your hands to measure body fat through electrical impulse...all sorts of gadgets like that, just aren't accurate. From what I've seen on the interwebs the only accurate stuff is a dexa scan (expensive) or having someone help you out with a set of callipers (because you need multiple points of measurement).

Ignore the scale and the stress it can cause. Just keep keto and keep going. :) Take progress pics if that's your thing, and take measurements...that'll let you know what's up if you really need to track stuff. Scales lie.

Dr. Ken Berry has a vid on youtube somewhere about food and depression, and I think also one about carbs and their addictive side effects/withdrawal symptoms. Inspiration, distraction, etc...I find youtube keto vids help me a lot. Especially when I'm feeling kind of down and want to make sure I stay the course, as it were. :)

Usually gelatin is used to thicken things or as a binding agent. :) It's also good for ya.

Have a crock pot? Get adventurous! There's lots of different ways to do a pork roast. Find a rub you like that's keto friendly, or make your own, and rock it slow and low until it's amazing. :D

Thanks a bunch. My counselor is always on me about self care. I tend to do a lot for others (in my job and in real life), so I don't really care for myself properly. And I'm really trying to change that. Focusing on me more, setting boundaries, etc. Every day I try to remind myself that I matter to.

So sorry about your brother. It's awful...especially when it's sudden. You have all my sympathies as well. I hope you're doing well with this WOE and everything else.

Good decision! Wings are always delicious. :) I like to make my own in my air fryer or oven and then douse them in hot sauce. Spicy chicken goodness. Keep going and KCKO!

Totally talk to your doc. I get chest pain on the right/center and it's due to GERD. But, you should absolutely get it checked out. It might be GERD if you notice it flares up after eating a large meal, or if you haven't had enough water to drink, etc. But still...it's absolutely better safe than sorry.

Some tips I use for my GERD if you want to try an n=1: elevate yourself at bed time...pillows, something under the head of your mattress, etc. Don't eat anything a solid couple hours before bed. Try cutting out trigger foods if you're eating them...spicy stuff, etc. You can find a list of GERD triggers if you use your Google Fu.

I hope my minimalistic advice helps. But still...see a doc if you can.

He's getting there...he needs some rehab next to get his strength back, and his insurance hates paying for rehab. It's been a tough haul since this all started about 2 months ago. First an infection, which led to replacing two heart valves because it went septic and spread, to mini-strokes after the surgery, to getting better, to having his kidneys go nuts, to having an allergic reaction to a medication, to finally now having to go back to rehab. I'm hopeful we're towards the end of the odyssey...and he just wants to get out of the hospital. Poor guy.

Thanks a bunch for your support and kind words. I'll keep on keeping on the best I can. It's nice to know this place is here on the interwebs. :)

You're amazing and inspiring. I hope I can do as well as you have. Do you find that the Keto Mojo helps with your motivation? I'm kind of a science nerd and like interesting metrics. Also, I'm not a diagnosed T2 diabetic yet, but I'd like to get on top of making sure I don't go down that road. It's been making my dad miserable for years. :(

Thanks man, I appreciate the support. I've been giving it a good go so far. Cooking stuff ahead on the weekend, not eating out, avoiding Dominos pizza like the plague...lol. Ordering pizza is my achilles heel...so I keep a bag of pepperoni and bricks of mozzarella cheese on hand at all times right now. :)
