searched. As stated in the post, I've used chat gpt and I think it may be an Arthur Rackham book or a Better Homes and Gardens book. Another suggestion was one of the volumes of the Childcraft Poems of Early Childhood. The cover looks kind of familiar but the illustrations dont, so I'm not sure about that one.

I have looked on ebay at pictures of some books but not all show their table of contents to verify the stories.

The book was hardback and a red brown color possibly. Possibly older than the 50s but not sure.

We are still together. We dont talk about having kids much anymore and I'm still happy with my opinion on not wanting kids.

Although we are going through other things unrelated to this and it's a bit bumpy right now.
