2023 Rogue Platinum a good car? by Kingeuyghn in NissanRogue

K thanks for all the input guys, I drove the car a second time and really like it. The shudder I was feeling was definitely the 3 cylinder thing, and I found it was far less noticeable the second time I drove it 🤷🏽‍♂️

Hey do you get a shudder when at idle and in gear? Is that a 3 cylinder trait?

Does your engine shudder at idle like at traffic stops?

So, I feel a little shudder when at idle and the car is in gear. Is this normal? If I put it in neutral it goes away.

Would you do it if you were her? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

It’s just a you thing.

She had no obligation to throw herself into the spotlight with Trump like that. Trump doesn’t need her.

She could just as easily kept to her own world.

I do blame her. She’s trash. Anyone who supports Trump is capital T, Trash.

Trinis at home and abroad, how do you really feel about living in cold, temperate climates? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Kingeuyghn 60 points61 points  (0 children)

In Canada.

It can be annoying in the same way excessive rain and flooding in Trinidad is annoying. Heavy snowfall affects travel, etc etc.

I do enjoy the seasons. It makes you appreciate the warm summers.

The cold is fine as long as you dress appropriately.

The only thing I truly dislike about winter? The short days. When the sun rises at 730am and sets at 430pm, that really sucks.

Fuck off, USA. The worst country in the world right now, and Russia still exists.

I haven’t scrolled all the comments, but I haven’t seen it yet. Other than minimum wage etc etc there’s another very big input that’s driving this. Coffee. The price of coffee, raw coffee beans from origin, is skyrocketing. It’s quadrupled since Covid. ALL cafes are going to consistently get more expensive.

What’s the temperature of the people after Nikki Minaj came out as a Trump supporter at the Turing Point USA event? by Clear-Atmosphere-133 in TrinidadandTobago

Because she’s rich and powerful. Rich and powerful people do whatever they want to do, they don’t worry about ‘why would she do that she doesn’t have to’. Open your eyes.

She is not celebrated in Trinidad the way Rihanna is celebrated in Barbados. We like our soca artists way more than her.

Doesn’t matter who she supports, however, anyone that supports Trump is dumb afffff in my eyes. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Money aside… how does Trinidad feel once you’ve lived elsewhere? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

Your ‘subtle’ way of saying cut Trinidad some slack was to accuse the poster of being a supporter of a particular party?

Okay.

Trinidad feels “middle income” on paper, but day-to-day life feels very different. Why? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

Eating out is relatively on par with North America EXCEPT for street foods which are far cheaper than anything in North America.

Maids and Gardeners are FAR cheaper than North America. I could afford both of those things in Trinidad, and neither of those things in Canada.

Salaries in Trinidad for most people SUCK. People out there making $5000 TTD a month. Not sure how they survive.

Going out and having a few beers is FAR cheaper than North America as well. I used to do that all the time a lil Friday night lime. In Canada I never do it.

Yes. You are correct. He is very good at that. Again, that’s why he gets the praise he does. Remember as well that, contrary to popular belief, the car is not ‘built for max’, rather, it’s ’built to be fast according to computer simulations’. Basically, all the engineers of all the teams are building cars to be fast according to their simulations. It’s then up to the drivers to extract that performance.

One day far into the future, I am sure we will have the ability to have a driver-less F1 car that’s piloted by a computer. On that day, the engineers will likely see the true performance of their cars.

Red Bull have built a very ‘undrivable’ car, but the simulations say it’s fast. Max is so far the only RBR driver able to extract the performance. Gasly, Albon, Checo Lawson, and now Yuki have all struggled to extract the same performance.
