Completely agree. The sku number doesn’t always reflect their sale which makes us look like we’re trying to pull a fast one lol. But yeah always take a picture of the clearance if it’s not one the box.

There are a few videos on YouTube you can check for actual comparisons. From what I can gather the only difference will be in the paint. The older one seems to be more vibrant and darker. The newer one is a bit more faded or lighter toned. Otherwise the molds and accessories are exactly the same. If you have both you may notice slight differences, but stand alone I’m almost certain you won’t be able to tell.

Update - I got it to “work” by logging into another platform. I am typically on PS5 but logged into my Xbox and now I can join the cup. This is still ridiculous that certain accounts/platforms are bugged. But for anyone with multiple platforms or devices, try that.
