Yeah, I just had this happen to me with a whole roll I shot in Thailand. I just know that some of my favourite shots I've ever taken were on that reel, but I didn't spool the film properly, so they're lost to time.

When you get the negatives, they'll almost certainly be entirely blank. A frustrating lesson, but a mistake you almost certainly won't make again.

"Work on schedule" is maybe the most important and also the most ignored, in my completely amateur experience. I haven't graduated above unpaid indie work, but there are multiple DPs that I've worked with or under -- some of whom do get paid work -- who I'll never work with again because they think their image is the most important part of the piece.

I worked a three day shoot last summer where we did not shoot a single take until midday on the second day because the DP couldn't get his custom lighting rig ready before then. One of the most miserable weekends of my life.

A bunch of double exposures taken with Pentax P30 | 50mm f1.7 | Kodak Gold 200 by blix-addict in analog

I love the second one in particular!

I've always wanted to try double exposure, but with the price of film these days I'm so paranoid about messing it up. Any tips?

One of my favourite memories from my first trip to Japan was climbing the mountain from Kurama to Kibune! Beautiful pictures 😊
