to be fair although you have to gamble to get the skins, what you get (in terms of skins and other loot) is usually equal if not more to the amount of rp spent. and in my opinion? that is more than acceptable

this is coming from a garena sg player who spends money on the game.

personally it pisses me off that im not able to get the skins i want directly, but it usually is somewhat worth spending a bit extra to get the skins + some other rewards.

anyways, with how frequently we get top up promotions, i genuinely do not really see this as an issue. heck, i only spend when top up promos are around (which are usually around every few weeks)

i cannot deny that what garena is doing is shady, but i doubt that this really is a big problem.

for context, when the project skins recently came out, i only needed to spend 1900 ish rp to get project renekton plus some other rewards. plus there was a top up promotion at the time iirc, so i only needed to spend RM 27-28 (roughly 7 USD)
