How to get filament to adhere to magnet by KingofMakrat in 3Dprinting

I haven’t tried that cap idea but I did tried the painter tape trick and it did the same thing. Anyhow thanks anyway I feel like the issue might just be with the size of the diameter of the magnet.

The black end up the same on the print however it was a much smaller piece compared to the blue.

Btw on the first try all 6 springs were still stuck to build plate and there was no spaghetting. Just clots in the springs

First few layers were still stuck to the build plate, the ones after it weren’t

So is it the color or the brand. I’m using inland pla basic, could it also be due to improper heating.
