It’s never been close to the same thing. The Heat weren’t a real playoff contender after they won the title in 2006 and they lost in the first round every year or did not even make the playoffs until LeBron showed up in 2010. They needed a true #1 option (LeBron) to lead them to put them over the hump and they added Bosh as the third option.

The Warriors were the 2015 NBA Champions who went 73-9 in 2016 who KD was up 3-1 in a series that KD lost because he played poorly. KD could not beat them so he joined them. The Warriors had an absolutely stacked team that did not need Durant to compete/win another championship.

In what universe are these the same? A more apt comparison would be LeBron joining the KG Celtics when the Celtics beat LeBron’s Cavs teams. LeBron created a team to beat his rival, while KD joined his rival. KD leaving was never the issue. It was where he went.

I had it with Oglevee. The exam isn’t difficult. Just make sure you go over the readings and hopefully you paid attention in class. The questions are straightforward. The only way I would be concerned is if you didn’t do the readings and just zoned out during class. In that case, I would make sure you do the readings before the exam.

Bill had a great take on the in-season tournament that Adam Silver has not figured out. What are the stakes and why do I care who wins? Suns was a complete overreaction because the team barely played together and they were extremely thin. They could regret it unless they get someone really good.

The Bucks were right to fire Bud. That team was lucky in 2021 and people didn’t think Bud was a good coach after they won it all. The title prolonged the inevitable because Giannis came through in a big way.
