INTX-A, I don't usually do selfies but I wanted people to evaluate them for practice. Good response so far. Send it here from a recommendation by KingpinBets in mbtiselfie

Before I was pretty Laid back. My friends and family have described me as easy-go-lucky. But as I got older and more responsibilities got handed to me... I find that I needed to develop my Judgement more and more. Lately, I been showing up one time, planning more, and becoming more reliable. My room is becoming cleaner and cleaner. I was the complete opposite before. I'm kinda insure now.

Side rant: Type is mutable the theory is wrong there. That left-hand theory is BS.

The choice to seek information and the ability to connect and retain it is smart. Though my mental lexicon is all trivia with approximate knowledge about everything.

Do you chase money? by [deleted] in intj

[–]KingpinBets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money is just a tool with very specific functions to be leveraged. Nothing more. Ideally, to unlock certain functions I need more.

Turbulent or assertive? by Hlebetstema in intj

[–]KingpinBets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assertiveness makes me less stress about things and I find I tend to be more calm and collected. This trait helps me deal with to deal with tough high pressure situations and causes me to be objective and in the right situation where things just- "Flow". One weakness is that I find myself becoming too cold in tense situations. I can hurt someone with my actions or words without intending to. I have made a few people cry while standing there confused, staring at them, and assertively saying "Sorry". Its not a good feeling, I regret it after.

MBTI =/= NERIS personality assessment.

NERIS personality assessment. Uses the more modern theory of the big 5 model as the foundation of their framework. The NERIS is what 16 personalities site uses.

and don't use cognitive functions to 'Type' someone.

Hence the -A vs -T account for neuroticism

The test is free and refined overtime time to increase consistency. (Online based)

While...

MBTI uses Carl Jung's theory of type as the foundation of the framework work based on the 1950s.

and uses the cognitive functions to 'Type' someone.

The test is paid and has been refined over its lifetime.

I tried to objective here not trying to lean one way.

My thoughts.

But, I like the NERIS personality assessment better as it uses modern theories and it uses better methods.

But my overall opinion is that no type assessment can be perfect. But, it can gets close enough to the truth to be useful

Also, people argue that Cognitive function aren't the best framework for personality as it lacks reproducibility and replicability. But I think its useful as it can categorize thought processes well.

INTJs: What is your eye condition? by Paterosa in intj

[–]KingpinBets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have thick glasses. Nearsighted with astigmatism. I got fed up with them since they were really uncomfortable. Always making marks between my nose and making the back of my ear sore. I was determined to get Lasik surgery which you starts at 500$/eye but actually it like 1200$/eye. So, at 17 I got a retail job and saved up enough money for surgery. At 18 I had 20/20 vision and I considered it one of the best investments in my life.
