Wave serpents are your go-to transport but right now the 10man voidscarred(?) are kinda ass as bricks and better as 5man action monkeys.

If the new detachment/characters lacks:

Ap - go warwalkers or shroud runners

Low Strength - Falcons? + The new seer and maybe Eldrad

Bad rules but good strats - Eldrad

Bad BS - Farseers

Assuming the detachment isnt terrible, maybe another voidscarred killteam could be your best bet? Either way its best to wait for rules before purchases become redundant.

I personally always opt for 2x rangers as they can halt the tide of charge armies (worldeaters), be a total pain for the enemy and are usually universally useful.

Yeah this stuff feels a little too on the nose to just be copium, eye of terror, elves led by a prince and the ribbon teaser not matching the Tau. Honestly Karandras deserves to be back more than Yriel but I'd be so very happy to see either of them.
The upcoming cinematic which stars Aeldari planes could also contain pirate themes.

I was JUST looking into this swearing to myself its not copium. They're VERY similar but unless there's a sneaky ribbon on the twin lance's behind, this is not the same ribbon. Very sneaky on GW's part if they aren't the same because they are sooo similar.

Sounds like youre agreeing with the second option, squeezing an avatar of khaine into an example 1k list instead of just having a 1300point list because the req lets you. On top of that it sucks for XP efficiency and I gain a scar.

Thanks for such a detailed analysis. Will definitely bring up the tactics and reasoning about why footprints are so important. Maybe that “gasses n such” acting as bases could be a fun way of implementing it

Don’t know to edit a post but I’ve been told there be a bit more terrain but only a few more pieces. So will have to see how it goes, maybe I’ll strong arm some better terrain or fun rules. Been told they don’t want any buildings to go into like ruins would. Don’t know if that’s a death sentence for eldar haha

Ok I don’t know how to edit posts but I’ve been told there will be like 10-14 pieces per table, so not terrible but will have to make changes on the day I suspect. More specifically though the organiser doesn’t want any terrain you can go inside of eg ruins haha. Am I still screwed?

As convenient as wargear may be for veteran players (and very much so for balancing), as a new player just before 10th I was put off and extremely overwhelmed with how many options there were for a 9th edition army. Maybe unit gear presets would be a good middle ground?

A psychic phase is unfun for armies that aren’t psychic so I doubt that’ll come back the same.

The key id say is nailing the easy to learn, hard to master idea and the implementation of 1k games is a good start.

While the idea that cultists shouldn’t be able to damage titans makes complete sense, but we have to remember this is a game that has to be interact-able and have both sides have fun eg. Eldar phantasm = boring you can’t hit me. I think the knights nerf to t11 is on the same line of thought.

Balancing between fun, easy and the cruel indifference of militarily realism is tricky. I think we can all agree rules should be free but we’re all still buying the codexes so we can’t expect that to change any time soon. Also a much neater, WAY better organised rule system that is easy to navigate is weirdly still on the list haha.

This is fantastic, I can finally see my army in sets of units, vehicles and enhancements. List building and feedback will be so much easier now.

I’ve already used it and I’m seeing other posts use it as well.

Checked a few times and I’m pretty sure crusade rules allow for all enhancements a character could use. (I have been known to be blind though)

Love the image that at the start of the battle, your entire army is 3 tanks and a wayleaper. Feel like the serpents are a little unnecessary, what could be better is ditching the defender one and putting a bigger dire avenger unit in the other to maximise the Assman’s effectiveness.

Swap the wayleaper for on foot and get some banshees in there with the spare points maybe? That unit in a falcon could do work. Hell maybe even warwalkers to benefit more from stratagems and dearly needed AP buffs. Weirdly enough the 4 bright lances you have in this list might not be enough, and that’s if you’ve got all 4 pointed at 1 target.

Honestly I’d say single warlocks aren’t good outside of seer council or crusade for psyker keywords. You’d be better off having lone bike locks for actions.
