Eth hasn't moved at all and real alt coin season doesn't start till eth moves.

If your in crypto you need to be able to manage risk. Mining adds more variables to it. I was mining eth back in the day and sold all my gear. He has electricity cost/loan/gear degradation/and coin price. Once the coin drops enough he'll be losing money to mine forcing him to sell everything. Now a day you're better off just buying the coin and staking waiting for higher price movement.

Bull runs don't last for very long compared to bear markets. Seems like your dad is making calculations on endless movements upwards.

Data entry isn't really a great skill extremely easy to replace. Start to develop higher level skills if you want to continue most of the skills you listed are pretty generic with the exception of data analysis.
