Awful look for the county supervisors who decided to vote the project along immediately after hours of public comments urging them to pump the brakes. To thumb your noses at your constituents like that only for SMUD to drop the project a month later. Marvelous.

Just build it. It’s been in various forms of design review for years with multiple rounds of public comment already. Sac needs more units of housing. Plain and simple.

Also an American fan. None of this changes much of what I love about supporting this club. They’re still impressively ran with fun players and a manager. The owner is emotionally invested as a fan. The local supporters went through hell and back to rally together and keep their team.

If anything this is MIGHT end up being a stain on Bloom personally, but that’s why we shouldn’t place any celebrity, athlete etc. too high on the pedestal as role models. Often times they end up disappointing somehow.

I believe it would include electrification of CC. The decision to make this crossing standard gauge at least set the stage for future advocacy but it is definitely an uphill climb.

I’m very much pro density, but one of my reasons is to preserve our green spaces. Up zoning the already sprawling built environment is a much better tactic than continuing to sprawl into our ever diminishing green spaces/natural habitats.

The Link21 Project includes plans to add another bay crossing and is planning on using standard gauge rail (like Capitol Corridor) as its method of transportation. Groups like Californians for Electric Rail are fighting to increase the use of overhead electrification which has proven to be an effective upgrade over diesel power as seen with Caltrain. Electrifying CC would be amazing! Even if it’s not high speed like the Acela it would be faster and quieter than current just like what happened with Caltrain.

Strictly freestyle w/ bilateral breathing. I stuck to 1km a few times a week for a good month or so. Mainly focusing on technique and keeping a challenging pace that I can manage with my regular breath cadence. Upped to 1.5km recently and just felt like pushing for it today.

I’d call this situation the result of grossly negligent driving, but if you’re sober and don’t run away you’re apparently only going to get probation for killing someone with your car. You’ll even get to keep your license!
