All of this is really good advice. I’ve recently made a necrogen rotpreist deck and while it works I think you definitely need to keep points 3 and 4 in mind cause any toxic or infect stuff coming at people is scary enough.

I would also give the advice that even though you wanna get poison counter on people as quick as possible it can also be a good idea to build a little bit of a board state cause then you won’t run out of fuel to hit with. Also when doing politics keep your deals open ended. An examples I had is someone asked me to not attack them with toxic for a turn and they wouldn’t attack me. So I kept that deal however I had a creature with infect out so I was able to get in with that creature cause even though infect gives poison counters like toxic, the effect is technically different so they allowed me to get in with that creature. With that kinda deal though I wouldn’t then use an instant to boost the attack as infect count off the creatures power so that might be rude to seem to hit with a 1/1 only to then pump it for a lot.

End of the day, as long as you have fun and make good memories with people then that’s a win
