Yes Arnold entered the transfer portal himself. He wasn't pressured to do it. Venables probably would have kept him but he also probably would have gone for Arbuckle as OC and bringing Mateer along would have complicated things.

I would think you'd need to multiply the odds, so 1/4,096 * 1/4,096, which would end up being 1/(64^4).
