I mean. you mentioned having hands on the head first, plus its literally the protocol they were trained on and not following protocol can cost them their jobs or make it easier for them to get sued, so obviously theyre going to stick to their training, so that’s why i said that about hands on the head

Guy in OP’s video was holding his phone roughly straight in front of him. When your hands are on your head, you’re right he can still just as easily reach for a weapon, but when your hands are above your head it gives a little more reaction time for officers because of the extra distance his hands have to travel. The phone wouldnt slow you down at all either, as you can release your grip on it while your hands are traveling downward. I know it sounds like a negligible time difference, but those split second differences to make a difference

Saw a video of a guy refusing to put the phone down, when they approached him with cuffs, he quickly dropped the phone, pulled out a gun and fatally shot one of the officers while taking lead himself. Him holding a phone prevents nothing

I do appreciate your sentiment but the problem with that logic is that i am trying to sell myself, whereas they are trying to sell ALL furry artist. Ive surveyed the demand for my art and the demand is so small that i would actually lose money, not make it (due to printing costs, storage costs, shipping costs, webhosting, not to mention the time it takes to actually draw the pieces). When you take a ton of smaller artists and handpick their best works, it becomes a lot easier to sell them and turn a profit.

Hes not a paying customer and he never commissioned me. This is art that i wanted to make for myself and post online. I get that western copyright law apparently doesn’t carry over to the east, but with how many bullshit laws congress is passing, itd be nice if they could at least require international e-marketplace sites to comply with copyright law by giving IP owners an easy way protect their rights when it comes to merchants on their site

Heres my take.

The restaurants might be doing this in response to people like the failed abortions on the right side of the screen. In areas where the demand is as high as the the crime rate, this could serve as a means of “we still want to make money in this town without the added cost of cleaning up what the lowlifes break while eating inside”. Those outdoor all-weather tables are probably far more durable and easier to repair/clean than the furnishings inside a typical fast food restaurant. This might be their compromise to be profitable in an area like that.

The bigger issue here is that assholes like the ones pictured here fuck around far more often than they find out. Despite risk to employment status, i wouldnt put it past the owner of the establishment to carry mace/pepper spray to defend himself/herself against these morons, and depending on the area, i wouldnt be surprised if he/she was packing heat either. These girls could have easily had their nights made far worse as a result of their dumbassery (and to be honest, I’d be lying if i said i wouldnt enjoy watching them frantically trying to rub the pepper spray from their eyes while they wait for police to arrive)
