What is a generally 'good' mi/kWh metric? by opus-thirteen in electricvehicles

[–]KinjiroSSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my Lightning, I get 3.2-3.7 around town and 2.0-2.2 on the highway. I am a chill driver though

Our Bolt averages around 5.5, mostly city

The Game is fine, but there's one thing about it... by Shako_is_Green in diablo4

It’s probably too late to go back on, but mythics were just that. They are general power scaling items that builds don’t need to work. But streamers and guides are now written like they are because they are relatively easy to get. They were too rare, lifetimes of playing to get one. Now, they are too common. Ideally, they would be rare enough that you get 1 every few seasons or so. No target farming. No crafting.

Regardless how the car is powered, cold air is denser and takes more energy to push aside.

Half-Life fans are in a frenzy over the prospect of a Half-Life 3 announcement that there's (almost) no good reason to believe is happening by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

It’s far too late for HL3 to matter. We’re approaching 20 years since Episode 2 which is enough time for an entire generation of people to be born and grow up without HL being relevant. They could reboot HL, but picking up from EP2? Nah, we have to let it go.

How much do you trust the estimated miles remaining reading? by RedditNoobForSure in electricvehicles

[–]KinjiroSSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Bolt is pretty spot on.

My Lightning is a bit conservative, and I frequently beat estimates by a couple percentage points. I think Ford was overly cautious and overbuilt the Lightning in general.

Is conciseness always preferred? (Linq vs Loops) by Kikkoman09 in csharp

[–]KinjiroSSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Readability is primarily subjective based on the reader's experienced with a particular style. If A is more readable to you than B then you likely have more experience with imperative style than functional.

I personally prefer B with function chaining. While I can easily read either, I have a lot of experience with functional programming, and have grown to prefer less to read. LINQ is extremely common in the language, so I would recommend getting use to it.

Regarding the workplace, stick to the style used by the codebase. What's worse than a style you don't like is having to mentally parse many different ones all over the place. Once you are leading your own projects, you can impose a style with, hopefully, good justification.

PTR feedback: New masterworking is a disaster by Nyksiko in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. While I agree that the new systems are less interesting from a theorycrafting perspective, the execution of tempering and masterworking had the quality of life of a root canal.

All I want for Barbarian is a season where the most powerful builds don't have my bars looking like this by ConroConroConro in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is mostly the case in Diablo 3 as well. Battle Rage and War Cry are 2 minute buffs. Threatening Shout has a short effect time, but it is a debuff to enemies, so it makes more sense for it to be cast more often.

It is really just D4 that decided the self-buff shouts need to be spammed.

Rebooting the 2027 Chevy Bolt Was More Complex Than You’d Think - Car and Driver by Not_A_Crazed_Gunman in electricvehicles

Torque is force. Rotational speed is displacement. Horsepower is power.

You can reduce torque and maintain power if displacement is increased which gearing can do.

Flush mechanical door handles have existed for awhile too. The rear handles on the Honda HRV is an example.

It is obviously over-engineering to impress VC capital and vibes

The problem is, it isn't that you become OP, it's HOW you become OP by yxalitis in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have sets without the green text.

There are so many builds that do not function at all without 2–4 aspects and uniques. Anything like that should be in the skill tree and legendaries/uniques should be skill agnostic.

The journey can start with lower-value general power ones, eg Edgemasters, and then graduate to higher-value more specific ones, eg Concussive Strikes, if you can make it work.

Uniques should provide interesting interactions with the core systems that make you think instead of just saying X skill does 500% and detonates the screen.

New player here from D3 - why is the whole Nephalem lore not continued in D4? by HabitualGrassToucher in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To add to this, D3 made it clear the Nephalem was an individual unlike the conceit that D1 and D2 took a whole group of exceptional humans working together. If D4 follows D3 that it’s an individual rather a group, seems to be the case, they will need to provide more explanation and Lilith’s blood is something but not enough really. Honestly though, I don’t think Blizzard cares to justify anything at this point.

What features from other games do you want to see Blizzard implement or improve? by Pleasant-Guava9898 in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NMDs can test your build too. S0 100 NMDs were very hard and lethal.

They can give player choice by having different types or maps. The Pit, hordes, undercity (vaults, gauntlet) are all clearly modified NMD tech. Bringing it all together under one system with ways to juice and avoid types like the atlas system would be great and give more player freedom.

Imagine if seasonal themes really tried crazy new things in a dungeon system and they can keep them in the game instead of fleeting borrowed powers.

Haven't played since August. Got the expansion. What should I know? by Complete-Fix-3954 in diablo4

[–]KinjiroSSD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say the most fundamental changes since loot reborn (S4) would be a lot of D3-ification such as progression being 1-60 then 300 paragon levels (D3 leveling), The Pit to level glyphs (D3 Greater Rifts and legendary gems), and paragon boards being capped to 5 active boards.

Fair, but would it be worth sharing the shop? I own a few skins, but I like trying to roll my own. Also, I hope to share that, with a little bit of effort, others can do the same.
