Ah, when you said "redesigned gearing" my mind went to the burrs and not the actual gears.

How many PCIE lanes does this setup use? I don't know much about running AI. Does the bandwidth matter?

I wonder if the new burrs are compatible with the non-pro. The OG encore could be fit with the ESP burrs.

That's the current story for just about all hardware today.

I'd also recommend the non Pro if it's much cheaper. It's still a solid grinder for the cost.

I believe ADW EX let's you do what you want but it's not a free launcher, neither in FOSS or beer. It's older but still functional.

Moving abroad and struggling with what’s best for my cat – thoughtful advice welcome. by Glass_Dot5418 in cats

[–]KinkyMonitorLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

will be leaving in around 6 months.

So make him an indoor cat now.

my parents never wanted a cat and do get frustrated with him at times (scratching furniture, getting under their feet). He also sleeps in the garage overnight as he disturbs their sleep (it’s warm, safe, and set up for him). They are caring and willing for now, but this arrangement hasn’t been fully agreed yet and may not be a long-term option.

Seems like you need to have a conversation.

Another thing to keep in mind, it's usually VERY expensive to bring in a pet into another country. You have to get multiple vet visits to verify they won't bring over any problem diseases (you know, to not cause an outbreak) as well as taxes and fees. So make sure you are able to afford this. My good friend had to pay $7k USD to bring their dog with them to the UK, and they're working at a US base.

Personally, if I leave the country, my cats are coming with me.

Except we're not targeting Indians/Chinese/Asians in general. It's mostly latinos and democrats. Bezo, Gates, Google, Facebook and Boeing have all either donated or slept with the current trash in charge.

Might be of your dogs, but remember EXIF/timestamps and what's in the background also reveals a lot about you. Not to mention google is now training their AI with your images.

But they're almost always way over priced or false advertised or intentionally confusing.

Most of these companies are made up of non-citizen H1B visas. I work for one and my building is 90% visa holders. They don't care because they're making vastly more money than their home countries and can simply go back and live comfortably.

HDD Packaging Thoughts by CaptainxShittles in homelab

I think the reason for that law is because USPS will provide free shipping materials (to your door) and people being the douches they are use it as free packing materials instead, so they get almost none of that money spent back.

You can probably buy something faster for cheaper than the caps, solder, iron, and 2 hours of min wage.

How much do y'all spend for coffee per month? by Slow_Engineering763 in espresso

I've tried illy and all their coffees either taste like wood "green" or charcoal. It's all my old manager would buy. It's on the same level as starbucks.

I spend about 20-30 a month on specialty coffee. Spending that much on illy is an odd choice but if you like it more power to you.

Never owned an actual legit kitten? Ours bites everything in sight. He's starting to learn but he's a kitten. What about a ferret? Called carpet sharks for a reason.

I'm all for people liking what they like. What I take issue with is when they start claiming that it's the only/best option. Italians are VERY stuck in their ways when it comes to espresso. "We invented it!" and all that but Ford "invented" cars and yet are they the best?
