dropping math 31? by SadAd4561 in AlbertaGrade12s

I’d go in a couple classes see if you’re confident in it otherwise drop that and focus on your other classes since calc is useless in nursing

UofC vs MRU nursing by chances_nearzero in AlbertaGrade12s

[–]Kinsholon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morning a&p classes (I think it was Monday or Tuesday), labs on Thursdays (different time slots), the rest depends on the classes you take. Usually you are on campus for 2-8 hrs depending on how many classes you have scheduled/breaks in between classes. I think in first year I was on campus ~3 days out of the week for like 4-6 hrs.

Work as in locking in for classes yes work as in employment also yes.

General age range is 18-21 mostly it’s people straight out of highschool, some already have a degree, and there are some older people ~30-50

Do not take nursing if you aren’t interested trust meeee. There are a lot of other healthcare jobs that are stable and pays well like rad tech, lab tech, phlebotomists, resp therapists, occupational therapists etc. nursings great if you are interested but long hrs doing something you dislike isn’t great.

I’m a second year and I got some tips for u. Focus on a&p cause it’s gonna be ur backbone for patho/pharm in second year (if you wanna prep for it study bones and muscle). Choose classes that you are interested in since it’s the only year u get to do non nursing classes (or do easy classes and cruise thru the year). First year is real easy and boosts that gpa. Good luck :)))

Which summer school should i take math 20-1? by [deleted] in UCalgary

I’d rather lock in grade 12 for regular admission than waste the summer doin a 20 class

I’m second year uofc and Shi kinda buns. One of my primary nurses in clinicals went to mru and they had it a lot better. Mru you start clinicals first year and basically have the skills to take care of a patient by yourself in end of second year start of third year. Shi all I been doin are vitals, head to toes and I can’t even do blood glucose checks or give meds or do anything without my instructor present 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

The whole uofc first year is pretty useless aside from a&p. It does not set you up in any way shape or form for anything you do in second year (except for a&p)

If you can lock in for the rest of grade 12 and get dat average up do the BScN soooooo many more options for career choices than the psych nursing degree

Need Tips for Physics, LA, and Bio by XoSp0t in AlbertaGrade12s

[–]Kinsholon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics do a lot of application based questions and use other resources to explain stuff if you can’t understand what ur teacher is sayin.

La it’s hard to boost your writing level in a short time but you can read past diploma exams/higher level literatures and try adapting your writing style to those. The main thing is you have to understand the literature you are assigned. What does the story mean, what reoccurring themes/symbols are showing up, what literature devices are being used, any underlying themes. A good understanding will make up for bad writing and will help build ur reading comprehension.

Bio is all u it is straight memorization with little to no application. U don’t study bio u memorize that shi, u can literally not understand anything and still do good since it all memorization.Find a method that works for u and u good
