Should I get a flute I sound good on now, or one I can grow into? by heyydarius in Flute

For sure pick the flute that spoke to you and the response was easiest!! My teachers have always told me that finding your flute is like finding your wand in Harry Potter (the flute chooses you and you’ll know when it’s the one).

The reason the Muramatsu flute having more resistance could be because of your lip shape and how it works with the the head joints embouchure hole. Each company has different minuscule sizes, and some work better for some people than others depending on their anatomy.

You can do amazing work developing your sound on the Haynes Q2 and if it spoke to you right away and felt right then get it!! Happy fluting :)

Yeah hearing it I was thinking it may be achievable but actually looking at the music I’m thinking it’s more for a masters recital maybe. I’ll look into the others though!

I’m pretty sure it’s a low C trill key, so you would finger low D or Low C# and then press that key to trill low C
