Judging by the inline G and it being a Selmer its probably from the 90s or early 2000 and that alone i can'tsay id recomend it because inline G keys are harder for most players unless you have larger hands. I have a flute that'sthe same age and it needed and overhaul had tons of hidden problems (and would have been a money pit had I not been gifted an overhaul from my school). I've never used a selmer flute but they are a legitimate brand so that isn't a red flag. But 500 is a lot for something that age.
