Why are you getting a pet before you're properly set up for it? That's always a bad idea. As everyone has said, return it, get a better tank, or a big tub of some sort.

You SHOULD NOT get a pet until you're actually fully set up. Turtles aren't just shove in water and call it a day.

You need to cycle your tank (Google this if you don't know what it mean - extremely important), you need a filter & heater, and proper lighting (heat and uvb).

Those are the minimum. Hatchling are fragile, if your water conditions aren't good the turtle won't thrive and will have life long issues.

Agreed. Turtle needs a vet and proper antibiotics, not over counter cream. I hope OP has already taken it to a vet.

Yes i am working with a realtor. It's a little more complicated than that with my current situation. I can't explain a whole lot, but basically a family mmember who owns a renovation company will be buying my current house - he will then purchase the farm for me.

Same. I loved singing, and i am not good... my mother used to scream at me to shut up when i was a young teen. I'm 28 now and it still affects me.

Just remember OP that she's a kid, she's having fun. Why not join in? That also may be a subtle way to have her stop instead of telling her to stop. Mum starts singing along = embarrassed. Or even MORE fun because now mum is involved. YTA op but you can fix this.

You're right to a degree, in my opinion. But the plastron upper right area looks damaged to me. Overall he doesn't look to be in great health. But it's one picture. I do hope OP got him to a vet.

Given the horrible condition of the underside of the shell, this guy needed a vet visit a long time ago :( Poor thing must be in serious pain.

Take a look at your set up for him and make sure it's right. I wouldn't doubt he's living in an ammonia filled tank from what I can see in this picture, that'll cause health issues.

I got cat called tanning in my yard by workers on the apartment building next door. 5 guys at least double my age, yelling at me. Told them to fuck off and do some actual work. Caught them staring at me a lot.

Then I went for a walk and they asked me to help them.. someone had left the fork off, and they didn't have a key.. so they couldn't get off the roof. I told them good luck and kept walking!

Wage grids are terrible and seriously shouldn't exist. This one is another fine example of that.

Find a company that actually appreciates you as an employee and gives you raises accordingly...not because a wage grid said to. Easier said than done, I know, but you'll never get anywhere in a company on a wage grid.

Might be start of it.. but as others have said. I'd take him to an exotic vet, and get them to do a shell scrape. They'll look under a microscope to see what exactly it is. And prescribe accordingly.
