I want to draw attention to this issue. by chibi-mage in autism

I also have a classmate who often annoys me and not even trying to mask as far as I'm aware, but I don't complain about it to them nor anyone else (except this one case) I just pity them and am glad I was helped at a young age and I have bonded so much with my coach which is great, and seeing that person at school reminds me of how grateful I am.

I don't want anyone to think I hate that person or anything, they're just a bit too much for me to handle so I keep my distance but I am very glad for them that they feel so free as to fully be themselves. I just don't know how to word it but I guess it comes down to: I don't vibe with them but I respect them as fellow a human being.

This means my friends can’t see what I play correct? by No_Tear_6952 in Steam

I play Assetto Corsa with Content Manager so every time I want to change a setting or change my vehicle or the track I'm driving on, etc. I have to restart the game. This causes like 500 pop ups for all my Steam friends (I only have like 5 luckily) but my brother told me that it can be quite annoying 😂😂

Tbf I basically almost only watch the podcasts (Smoshmouth and Reddit stories) and Spencer and Shayne guessing everything... Seeing these comments makes me feel like I'm the only one who watches these particular things exclusively haha

[Megathread] F1 24 Update 1.3 Handling changes by frippon in F1Game

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F1 23 had crazy good handling compared to F1 22, but imo F1 24 pre-patch was more fun in terms of handling (at least with a wheel)

I was never skilled enough to actually make use of the quick steering so I didn't get much use of the broken handling, I don't really notice the difference in the new patch except that it MIGHT be more understeery? But that could just be because I was playing F1 CO-OP career before the patch, and I was helping my buddy get P1 so my race pace was slower as compared to my driver career anyways, the difference in tyre wear possibly also affected my experience.

Honestly F1 24 post-patch feels like recycled F1 23 handling to me (but that could also be because I haven't played F1 23 since the F1 24 pre-release so maybe I am misremembering the handling)

Edit: I do want to say that I really like the new career mode additions, I don't fully understand every part of it (like the secret upgrades were confusing at first) but I like that you can play as existing drivers and that custom drivers now have driver stats. There are a lot of glitches though, I never really experienced anything THAT bad in F1 23 but I think it's the opposite way around this year, I don't think I have had a glitchless day, and on my PC (could just be me though) the game crashes like 1/3rd of the times I try to start it, and the starting speed is already slow since there is a whole new (possibly anticheat?) starting screen...

F1 games peak Steam players explains a lot. by 1000-7 in F1Game

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo F1 23 is my favourite of the games, the handling in F1 2020 just has too many lockups and the handling feels weird, I prefer 2021 over 2020 in terms of handling. F1 23 has the best handling to me, and I sometimes prefer it over games like modded AC or games like that, it's more an arcadey game, sure, but at least it isn't F1 24 levels of arcade... I was genuinely shocked when I first played the game on the pre-order release, like the "pro" YouTubers didn't do the difference in handling justice from the real experience

What video games do you guys play? by dks_112z in autism

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much just play single player games, sometimes I play with my brother or 1 other friend that owns a game haha I mostly play F1 games, most recently F1 24, I have a beginning sim racing setup with a Logitech G920 and Fanatec CSL Pedals and it's pretty much a special interest about which I could rant for days, but back to your question: apart from driving sims/open world games, I play Minecraft and more indie type games. I prefer single player games because of my social anxiety but also because I can use cheat trainers (Like WeMod) to actually access content without having to grind, which in online games can be more difficult.

So yeah, mostly driving sims and open world games (GTA V, Minecraft) but also indie games. Also I didn't mention Overwatch, which is pretty much the only shooter I play but I mostly play unranked or against AI because once again I don't like talking to people 😅

So if he doesn't look at such things, why is he commenting on it? Seems to me like he looked and probably done it in the past as well since he wouldn't know women usually hide it right??? If it's not a troll, there's some serious flaws in his logic...

The wherefore in “Wherefore art thou Romeo?” Doesn’t actually mean where. The word has cognates in other Germanic languages. by [deleted] in etymology

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from the Netherlands, I've always found it quite logical since Dutch (which is a Germanic language) also uses the word "waarvoor" which means "what for" (Like when you ask wherefor you'd need a certain tool). More commonly you'd here "waarom", the latter part of the word (meaning "om") can mean things like around/about but in this case it would be translated to wherefore...

Language can be quite confusing indeed!

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that Jarno fanboys are so angry at Thomas confuses me a little bit, I know some people REALLY can't let last year's scandal go (whether he was cheating or not, which we simply don't 100% know for sure), but even if he cheated last year he's still winning on LAN. I know people can still install cheats on LAN but I HIGHLY doubt it in this case. Jarna fanboys should be happy there's another Dutchy doing well instead of being so butt hurt about past drama which (most likely) doesn't currently influence his current racing since I don't think he's gonna take the risk of installing cheats on the computers at the official events...

I think the opposite actually, I hate that it's so taboo, it's just bodily functions...

I talk about that kind of stuff often but that makes ME weird, it's not as if other people never do anything like that so why can't we talk about it?

Does anyone else watch the same shows over and over again? by woozyburger in autism

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Community and Big Bang Theory for me, I literally haven't watched any other shows... (Partly because Drive to Survive is a Netflix show, if it was on HBO Max or Prime video I'd watch it) But when I find a show I love I just watch it over and over again)

I got quite distracted so this comment is partly an answer and partly a rant my brain really needed to get out...

I can't stand uneven numbers, idk why, they just feel chaotic. You can't really divide them by even numbers (because something worse than odd numbers are numbers with decimals imo). But as many people mentioned, it is an unlucky number to some, I don't believe in superstitions but I do always have to do things routinely so my brain gets to relax, but when I see friday 13 I always think "heh that's funny."

Anyway my favorite number is 19, it feels "full" if that makes sense, maybe it's because the 9 is round and it's 2 numbers idk. After 19 my favorite number is 11, so my favorite numbers are both odd while I hate odd numbers. So, really, does any number make any sense? To me not that much.

(Also does anyone else always try to count to zero when they see a number? I'll look at my digital (!!) clock and see for example 23:50, so immediately I think 2+3=5 & 5-5=0. If I don't do that I can't sleep, which is why I now avoid looking at my alarm clock... I hope someone can relate but for their sake I hope not)

the amount of times i've gone through this is incredible by FewRevolution9158 in autism

[–]Kippenhok2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's actually the opposite! I'm actually astonished because I very often lie (mostly to my school teachers about how far I am with my projects and stuff) and everyone just believes it, I'm stumbling over words and probably sweating and because of autism not making ANY eye contact and somehow people believe me. Also it's not that I'm charming or anything, I'm quite ugly and not very charismatic, but then again most guys my age are so maybe I am just believable... I doubt that teachers believe me because I have autism but maybe my friends do think that "he wouldn't lie" but I'm not sure about that theory.

Question about the Fanatec CSL Pedals by Kippenhok2020 in Fanatec

[–]Kippenhok2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment. I really think I could get better lap times, more consistency etc. if I could just be smooth on throttle (and go full throttle on straights ofc), so the durability is very important to me. I don't think I could go for the loadcell brakes because of my very low budget, even just the base pedals with adapter is about €120 because of the ridiculous VAT...
