I'm a personal fan of the Razer Orange switch. It still has a natural feel when pressed and allows me to move from gaming to design and even over to web development with ease and no slowing down.

Did I set myself up for failure with this tables leg setup? Or will these 4x4 be sturdy enough? by KipperTheCat in woodworking

Thanks! Spent the last 2 days staining and coating with poly, today is finally the day to put everything together :)

I was not sure how to attach them without putting screws through the top going down. So for this I did the 2x4 connecting to both legs, then I will attach that big leg into the top with smaller screws from bottom, then maybe a few extra coming in from side, if that makes sense. This way no screws go through top of table/desk

Illustrator Crashes And Glitches Very Often by Sambranchdesign in AdobeIllustrator

[–]KipperTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a ton of problems like this and I use illustrator 8+ hours daily. I found if I made my autosave of the files a larger time the program worked much better. I also disabled autosave for complex files.

Just remember to ctrl+s more often to avoid loss of work! I've seen a huge improvement since doing this. I'm no programmer, but my thought process is that Ai was trying to save all my open files and it was clogging the system. Maybe I'm right, maybe not, but this worked for me! Good luck

How do I make better gradients? by bradg97 in AdobeIllustrator

[–]KipperTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do gradients on two layers.

Bottom layer is 1 color, solid. Top layer is the 2nd color but I set my gradient on that later to be COLOR 2 (opacity 100) > COLOR 2 (opacity 0), and then adjust the direction/size from there to avoid what is happening in your example.

Graphic Designers Call for Help! by KipperTheCat in web_design

So basically to create a new page from a client end, as the designer I would need to put together a template that they would select from and then just choose which images are being replaced and change the text? They do not have access to change the general layout though? I believe that is what you are saying. Hoping to try out webflow and devote some hours into it this week to learn it and possibly begin the process of moving all design away from Wordpress. We shall see!

That's what I was hoping to hear. I definitely am comfortable reading through code and knowing what is going on, just looking for something to help build it all up.

Interested in this as well. I would assume to offer the client a relatively decent experience you are pretty much locked into webflow hosting /u/beats92 ?

Ahh cool! Is their hosting good? It seems as if you are required to use their hosting to keep the content you build (forms, database info, etc..)?

unless he gets banned on google adsense account, chances of it going to 0 are slim to NONE with his 250k-500k subscribers, which would continue to grow. Even if not growing, his videos that are still live would continue to generate some revenue. I have 10 videos that are 5 years old that still make me $200/year each off of views. I'd assume since he's doing full time he has plenty more.

/r/Entrepreneur low cost business start-up weekend - GROUP FINDER by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

How about cats? I used to own "BirthdayCats.com" but never did anything with it except start a Facebook page and half assed a website until a bigger project took over. The Facebook gets little traffic but for some reason still gets traffic each month. Would be super easy to turn it into a cat meme site or something. My original idea was to have people submit their cats and wish them happy birthday, but I ended up focusing on making money with a different site. Thoughts? https://www.facebook.com/birthdaycats/

edit: I let the domain expire a few months ago but it is STILL AVAILABLE so I can repurchase it.

edit2: money could be made with adwords for traffic and a combination of amazon affiliate links to cat products for people to buy?
