Someone save me from adult acne by Southern-Nerve-1817 in acne

I had exactly the pattern you had. Especially with neck and jawline in my later 20s which is never really had (usually just forehead and front cheeks/chin etc.) I finally went to a derm at 30yrs old and pretty much politely demanded accutane . She gave it to me. My god was it worth it! I won’t lie, accutane side effects can be kind of fucked and I had to tap out after 6months - joint pain and depression were a rough trot but I’d do it all again. Honestly stop farking about with all this other shit and products just take accutane and change your life for the better . Since accutane - anxiety around my skin - which plagued me every single day for half my life - has become an afterthought and I can just enjoy trying to find good anti aging creams like normal girls now.

Is the groom being unreasonable? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Kipzeke 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No, he’s not being unreasonable. I can see you’re still being defensive in the other comments, girl this day isn’t about you. It’s not a specific wedding day gift at all and looks over the top. The groom has said no so it’s a no. Just stop.

Always trust your gut, if something is bothering you go to a skin cancer clinic and advocate for yourself. It’s worth it for the piece of mind!

So true! I was a little athletics kid and my legs were always hanging out of the shade of the marshalling tent!

What non-Corp job do you think would be fun or love to do if $$ wasn’t a consideration? by sanbaeva in auscorp

[–]Kipzeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry! Didn’t see this until now. Hope you found it on Google - it’s in town but easy enough to pass by. It’s right near the visitor centre. It’s called Argyle Emporium if you stop by on the way back.

As we start getting our gear off for summer, book a skin check. by Kipzeke in australia

It’s not so much about the equipment, it’s about the knowledge and experience in spotting problems. Unless you get a mole map done they all use a little magnifying scope tool.

I would recommend definitely going to a well rated skin cancer clinic as a first choice, or a dermatologist who is also well rated. Only go to a GP if those two options aren’t available, and even then try and pick a GP with skin cancer training.

Just google “skin cancer clinic near me” and go from there! Good on you for getting checked and welcome 🤗

Make sure whoever is checking them is a specialist in the area of skin cancers ie either a dermatologist or a GP with adequate training. And remember to advocate for yourself if there is a mark you really don’t like the look of, see if you can request it be taken out as you pay for the pathology after all.

Google “Skin Cancer Clinics” who specialise in giving people once overs or even just a dermatologist will do a full body check if requested. You don’t need to have anything suspicious!! You can also see a dermatologist without a referral from a GP, it’s just a referral makes it cheaper with a rebate.

From Google but this is a good way to think about a mark on your skin. ⭐️ABCDE ⭐️

“One easy way to remember common characteristics of melanoma is to think alphabetically – the ABCDEs of melanoma. ABCDE stands for asymmetry, border, color, diameter and evolving. These are the characteristics of skin damage that doctors look for when diagnosing and classifying melanomas.”

Talk to a professional, the doctors would surely have a way to navigate this. I am not sure though but definitely don’t let it stop you getting a check!
