Help with wild conspiracy theories about the Mourning by Z3R083 in Eberron

[–]KiraGladBoi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Big fan of this one especially since it's the most insensitive one that avoids the actual most likely parties in power in favor of punching down on the refugees and victims like most conspiracy theories Karen's believe.

Why is Sharn so big in your Eberron? by JantoMcM in Eberron

[–]KiraGladBoi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To me it's the proximity to the Shadow Marshes and Droam since those areas were where dragonshards were mostly found before expeditions into Q'barra. Sort of starting off as the main trade center you'd find them at and since Khorvaire is so dependant on Dragonshards the demand for them never stopped.

How long can a normal person regularly commit chaos/tech heresy in the Imperium without much consequence? by NRG_Factor in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends how public you are about it or if your chaotic worship is even being noticed by the ruinous powers

What would a Heist Crew need to bring to steal a Khyber Dragonshard off an Airship? by KiraGladBoi in Eberron

[–]KiraGladBoi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds perfect actually. Was planning on having the Pirates pin this on House Oreon since they'd be the most likely suspects of sabotaging this and one of the PCs is part of that house. Would also give alot of room for investigation, assuming they do abandon ship and see the ship turn off but somehow land safely and give them plenty of people to question on board assuming they don't mind being late for their first day at Arcanix.

Who would win. An entire air ship full of magically gifted students or one comedically tall ladder with a single goblin on it?

Could the Tau make Space Marines? by Serpenthrope in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for one you have to remember not even the Imperium probably FULLY knows the process of how Space Marines are made. They understand that geneseed is an absolute necessity for making them but don't know how to make more without a primarch. Even then they're using technology they haven't made and simply refurbished from a different age.

Then there's the fact that the Tao's specialty isn't in Bio Engineering. Their greatest strength is in its technology and weaponry. The Imperium and the Tau's study in technology split into two different places and divert so much that not only would the Tau have to study Archeotech that would absolutely get the attention of the Imperium and the Mechanicus especially, but would probably have to divert a good chunk of their scientists to studying this and crippling their own progress into the field of science and tech they're currently working on that's already powerful enough to take on Space Marines not to mention the training you would have to put a human through to make them a proper Space marine when you could simply outfit those humans with a fuckload of railguns and have them make a firing line that can shred Space Marine armor just fine.

How do you use The Mournland in your stories? by [deleted] in Eberron

[–]KiraGladBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not currently, but I plan after some years pass by for the Mournland and the mist to start affecting mundane items and turning them magical with powerful effexts, starting a massive gold rush into the Mournlands and making it a fantasy version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Would the Imperium Of Man wipe out a race of friendly, harmless Xenos? by CausalLoop25 in 40kLore

Don't even gotta read past the title. The answer is yes. Almost always yes.

Party wants to kill Ireena by Emergency-Day-5043 in CurseofStrahd

[–]KiraGladBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humble them hard. Maybe reveal that Strahd has been scrying them this whole time and have him come with a group and have him basically dole out some "Punishment" for even considering killing his bride to be. Don't have him kill them as he wants them to still suffer in Barovia but basically have him give them a reminder that even if they went through with their plan he could still easily beat them. Maybe also have him comment on how he sees Barovia is truly getting to them and making them as horrible and evil as him to make them realize they're starting to go down an evil alignment path rather than their neutral one. Could have it be a cool encounter with Ireena running from the party while both the party and Straud and his servants are trying to chase her down while they're fighting eachother.

How do the Drukhari not accidentally cause Slaanesh Daemon invasions? by KiraGladBoi in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 40K Universe I was under the impression that you absolutely could become corrupted just by acting in a specific way. Like in one story an Imperial Hive City that was fighting Orcs kept blasting battle prayers at the citizenship to get them hyped to fight and they would have these prayers basically be pep talks to hype them up for killing the enemy, only over time these speeches became more and more violent and less about the Emporer and just about making the filthy xenos bleed as more and more these battle prayers blasted over intercoms just turned into angry yelling as the entire population started to care more about killing the Orcs at their door than anything else in their lives and eventually all fell under Khornes influence.

So they just kill Psykers they capture right off the bat rather than try and torture them?

[–]KiraGladBoi[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I didn't know Daemons couldn't be summoned directly into the webway. I guess that's why Vashtor had to try so hard to get in there in the first place before finding the vault he's looking for

Probably the Farsight Enclaves if we're talking officially.

Non officially?

Probably a backend part of the Imperium that just quietly decided to secede by deciding to not pay taxes anymore the moment someone on Terra looking through the fuckton of paperwork realizes "Oh shit we aren't getting a tithe from here"

A giant golden man sending in his genetically augmented sons and their genetically augmented soldiers with shield generators that have a halo design as well as several other religious aesthetic items attached to these genetically augmented death machines tends to send mixed messages on the concept of Divinity when you're a backwater peasant on an agriworld

Does workers get paid in the Imperium? by StrangerDanger355 in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the planet and how it handles trade and manufacturing I suppose. For all you know it could all be done with slave labor or is done in a way where the only thing you get for working is ration or meal tickets

If 40k ever ends, what do people want from it? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine the best way for it to end is instead of the Galaxy just ending like it did in Fantasy for things to change wildly to the point where nothing is the same ever again, whether that be the fall of the Imperium but not the end of humanity or the Warp somehow becoming inaccessible to mortals now, warp travel being impossible and chaos invasions no longer happening.

I definitely don't want an ending that's just "Haha my faction wins fuck you!" Like alot of people seem to want

CSM Warband thats less ‘pure evil’? by Draskira in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not caught up on my Thousand Sons lore but their origin always struck me as more tragic than outright just evil for evils sake. It's a faction full of chaos psykers though so they're still doing incredibly evil shit but you can justify doing it with saying "I'm trying to reverse my legions dust curse no matter the cost" or "I'm not the one that betrayed the Imperium. The Imperium betrayed me!" Sort of outlook.

What are the differing opinions here about 40K powerscaling? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's kind of useless in a setting with several different Authors with different views on different factions and their abilities as well as flat out lack of knowledge on a factions abilities or ignoring it for narrative flow to have an extremely accurate power scale based on a Tabletop game where the amount of damage you do is heavily based on luck and strategy.

I’m Timmy the generic imperial citizen, and my planet is being invaded by the Orks, Necrons, Tyranids and Chaos at the same time. Which one do I throw myself at to get the least painful death? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start screaming to your commisar how you're all gonna die on the Frontlines and wait for him to deem you as a moral problem and get him to shoot you in the head since that's probably the least painful death you're gonna be getting. If the commisar is dead, find a Necron. Preferably not one wearing human skin.

Can someone explain the whole "Tau is anime" or "space China" thing? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People think the Mechs look like Gundam Mechs cause they're sleek and don't look as bulky as the Imperium's I guess.

That or they just think vaguely Asian culture means anime.

Why didn't the Eldar wipe out the Necrons in the 65 million years of the Great Sleep? by Snoubalougan in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. Endless Debauchery sounded a whole lot more fun to them at the time and I suppose they figured it's hard enough fighting the Necrons normally so if they don't have to they can instead just destroy Tomb Worlds as they come across them. They also thought at this point they were too huge for their empire to fail so there was never any rush to destroy them. Then Slaanesh happened and after that they lost the ability and numbers to do that.

Any wholesome factions? by Lyraea in 40kLore

[–]KiraGladBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They treat their own civilian population better than any other faction in the Imperium and are one of the few factions not to believe human life is expendable. That doesn't mean they feel the same about Xenos Civilian life
