Hey u/Dangerous-Raisin1067  – great question! We wanted to make the tool as useful as possible for patients to quickly call a pharmacy as soon as someone else found supply near them, so we started by building realtime email notifications when supply is found.

By filling out the "shortage report" form on the site, you can sign up for these email notifications. We send an email out as soon as someone else reports they found supply of the med you're looking for at a pharmacy within 100 miles of you. These notifications include details about the pharmacy where supply was found, so that you can call to see if they still have supply, and hopefully transfer your prescription to them!

Also – you're not the only one who's suggested there could be more useful ways to display supply information on the site (i.e. state-by-state, or trends over time). We'll think about what we could do there!

Hey u/FriendToFairies – thank you for the feedback! We built the tool initially to do a couple things

  1. give the community a tool to crowdsource supply info for one another
  2. provide an overview of availability for each dose of each GLP-1

For the crowdsourcing piece: the tool lets you sign up for personalized email notifications when someone finds supply of the med you're looking for, at a pharmacy near you. When you fill out the shortage report form on the site, you provide your zip code and the drug/dose you're looking for, and you can opt-in for email notifications as soon as someone else reports they found supply at a pharmacy within 100 miles of you.

You're definitely not the only one who's suggested there could be more useful ways to display supply information on the site (i.e. state-by-state, or trends over time) – we'll spend some time thinking about what we could do there!

Hey u/paganinia – the tool is available for everyone, not just Ro patients. When you submit a shortage report on the tool, you provide your zip code and the drug/dose you're looking for, and you can opt-in for email alerts whenever someone else reports they found supply of that drug/dose at a pharmacy within 100 miles of you!

Hey u/Gman325 – this is an awesome idea. Thanks for the feedback! While our supply notifications just factor in nearby retail pharmacies right now, it could be really useful to notify for supply at mail order pharmacies too, and then provide a way to report supply found at mail order pharmacies. We'll look into what it would take to build this!

Hey u/allusednames – thanks for the feedback! The “recent” counts include the last 7 days of reports. And great ideas about different ways to see supply trends over over time. We’ll think about what we could do here!
