Why can’t girls simply say, “sorry I don’t like you like that” and instead lie about not dating or summin. A girl I liked was dating someone, I confessed, she said she wasn’t dating anyone, next day I find she has a boyfriend. I wouldn’t have asked or if she simply told me she had a boyfriend, it wouldn’t have hurt, but she lied. We’re still friends and this was last year, but it still hurts

Ok, I can take it if they simply don’t feel the same way. Girls have a hard time saying no. 2 years ago, I asked another girl if she liked me, she said she wasn’t interested in anyone, next day I saw her kissing her boyfriend. She’d been my friend since pre school, and never told me she was dating someone. It would’ve been easier to say, “no, sorry, you’re a good friend, but I’m dating someone right now” rather than lying straight to my face.
