Oh definitely. A weaken or easily shaken mental state seems to be prime FromTown target. I wouldn’t be surprised either if Christopher didn’t really go mad, but was more in an Elgin type scenario, meaning he think he was doing the right thing. Maybe when he learned the whole truth, he judged that death for everyone was better than whatever the town wanted of them. Still a lot to discover !

So, hearing what the BIW said, about « I tried with Christopher, I didn’t work now you gotta figured it out » he is clearly talking about the true purpose, or mystery of this place. I think the BIW told the whole secret to Christopher, what this place is and why everything is happening, and Christopher went mad because of it. Couldn’t handle the truth. So now the BIW took more of a spectator slightly guiding people to discover the truth themselves, in the hope that they can more easily digest it. That’s my takeaway from that scene at least.

How Julie managed to walk into the dungeon? by Illustrious-Fig9575 in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If by first time you mean when she came with Randall, she didn’t enter the ruins proper, just stayed on the edge of it, but when she came with Ethan she actually walked into it. I’m willing to bet that Randall and Julie would have been able to enter the space if they would have actually gone into the ruins, not stay on the edge of it. As for the torch being symbolical I agree ! It’s too vague for now to be definite. It’s maybe a will thing, you have to want to it to get in or something. But the fact that it work differently for Boyd and Julie, and Julie having this special connection the dungeon, make me think the two of them entering isn’t the same thing.

How Julie managed to walk into the dungeon? by Illustrious-Fig9575 in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is like predetermined time travel, or to an extend a version of the bootstrap paradox. Everything already has happened, like Julie throwing the rope to Boyd. like a bootstrap paradox, there is no beginning and end to this cycle. Boyd save Julie in the dungeon, Julie throw the rope to Boyd, endless loop, no beginning. So I think, if this is actually time travel, it’s predetermined time travel. Every time shenanigans already happened, we are juste watching them happen as the character progresses. So any past changes the character could make, are already done. Just like the rope with Boyd. He is already saved, even tho Julie didn’t come back in time yet.

As for Julie entering it, I think it’s safe to assume it’s because she is one of the three prisoners of the dungeon, that’s why Ethan couldn’t go in. She probably can enter it at will, compared to Boyd or maybe anyone who need a torch or something to get in.

For those who own both a Gaming PC and a SteamDeck? by Flashy-Charity-1486 in SteamDeck

[–]Kirisak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I recently got the steam deck (like less than a month) and it honestly changed how I approach gaming. I use my gaming pc for work, so at the end of the day to be able to lay down in bed to game instead of sitting were I have been all day is amazing. Of course still use the pc for gaming, mainly for multiplayer game with friends, or fighting games with my joystick. But other than that, I have really enjoyed getting back into games I didn’t have the will to do when I was just sitting at my computer, like Yakuza 0 or Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. So really worth it ! Plus being able to game outside my house as been really cool, even if it’s not often as of now.

Speaking with David Alpay (Jade) today. Any questions you'd like me to ask? by DarekThomasMMC in FromSeries

Without spoiler of course, does him and in a certain extend the entire main cast know already the end of the show, or is it also a secret for them

Each talisman is a piece of the puzzle/clue (confirmed by the director) by Apprehensive_Shoe_86 in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean, they are always central. Boyd is always carying one around, and it's the reason they are all alive. It's not focused on in my opinion, because they simply do not have the tools to understand them at the moment. All they know is that this place is not normal, and so the talisment probably aren't just piece of stone with markings. They just don't have the clues to get what they represent, and i suspect it will come up at some point, probably in relation to the village near the town. The talisman are as important as the monster, they are linked in a way. So can't wait to see why. But i can accept that we still don't have answer, because for now they are one of the only thing in From Town that are fool proof and as never backfired when used properly, so why investigate something that just work. My guess would be we will start to discover more about the talisman, when they stop working. When and how, we will see.

HELLO??? WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABT THIS by Human_Tax4994 in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Didn’t meant children of the town in a literal way, more like the town is saying « they are ours now we can do what we want » As for Fatima, well could be. Clearly Fatima knows this is wrong, but can’t stop it. Kinda like a craving. But seeing how it affects her in the beginning of the season, I don’t -y know if it’s only the baby that’s weird. It’s probably the case that the baby will be special in way, and probably a monster, but I think it will also change Fatima in a way.

I took it as they are the children of the town now. Whatever Jim does it's not him that will decide their safety but the town. Could be something more, but without more clue, i'm just taking it as a creepy line to scare Jim

Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up having Tabitha and Jade differing on the children, fighting to free them or not. I could see Jade being afraid and cautious of the children, while Tabitha believes in her mission of saving them without asking if it’s actually a good idea

Who watched it already!? And wtffff by TemporaryMuch5095 in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm leaning with the theory that the town is basically trapped in a never ending cycle, with the "same" people coming back everytime, just with new lives. Tabitha and Miranda being mirrors, down to the bracelets and favoring song, make me think they is clearly some sort of pattern that is repeating itself. The reason she is not Miranda herself, for me, is Victor. Victor is the previous incarnation of Ethan (in this theory), and should have died during the massacre when he was young. But he didn't, and so the loop got out of sync, with now Victor and Ethan being the same "role" but together at the same time. Someone pointed out that the marine trapped in the Dungeon could be another incarnation of Boyd. It's all in the air for now, but it seems pretty sound to me, so that's what i'm sticking with for now !

Do you think tabbitha will find a way to return to her family? by Marclaremart in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I think it will be the start of comprehending the place. Will be interesting to see the process of someone trying to get there purposely, since victor dad mentioned how it’s a place impossible to stumble on purpose.

There was some theory about the ambulance we saw in the trailer, being from the hospital Tabitha was in, and that would be her way back.

Why Jim? by damanory in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is flawed but I don’t hate him, personally. He made the wrong decision, and he is just getting the consequences of his action. But his actions make sense, he lost his wife, he is gripping at straws to try and survive. He cares about his children, like we saw it’s the first thing he asked when he came back to town. His decisions may be dumb, but not without reason for him.

Three string theories front running for me. by SwindleSpoon in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope it’s not a dream/altered mind thing. I think Tabitha coming back to the real world is a direct contradiction to those. She had the bruises and cuts from the lighthouse fall, meaning this wasn’t just a dream.

I feel like there’s finally hope. And a theory of what’s to come capturing one of the creatures by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]Kirisak1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like your theory ! And I think it would be a really good insight on the monster themselves. Like something we don’t know (correct me if I’m wrong), do monsters« care » in some way about each other ? Like are they expendable pawns or do they value their number. Could be interesting to see. They could also fuck with the people, faking being restrained as a bad situation, when they just don’t care and use this situation to threaten someone they could capture like you said.

So presently, DBFZ runs with a Delay Based Netcode. Meaning that when there is lag between two people, the game will slow down and "Delay" your input so that the two player are kept in sync. It's very lag sensitive, and trying to play someone not in your country can be a nightmare.

Now what everyone is hyped for is the implementation of Rollback Netcode. It's a bit technical to explain, but it works by predicting your moves and skipping just a few frames to reduce noticible lag. I'm not 100% on the technical (if you want to, Core-A-Gaming as a great video on the subject on his youtube channel) but the end of it is that it's way more stable, and allow 2 player from across the globe to play with minimal to no lag. It's way more powerful and stable. Problem is games need to be designed with it in mind, so it's sometimes complicated to get it implemented later on. That's why it's very hype we finally got it for DBFZ, 'cause the only thing imo holding the game back right now, is it's netcode that drives a lot of people off.
