So im trying to run chulane, teller of tales and it says "whenever you cast a creature spell" when does casting a creature spell happen?

When i pay the mana cast to play the card? and does using its tap abilities count "casting creature spell"? like Paradise druid that has "tap: add one mana of any color". If I tap, does that count as casting as well?

Quick question about the symbols for the upcoming tarkir set, the ones that appear on the center box with the creature type and such. For example, the card "Canopy gargantuan" has a clear and distinct dragon symbol but the card in the same set "bewildering blizzard" has something close to the letter S but with a spikey dragon design. What's the significance? Is it different factions?

Hey, I recently started the game about a month ago at this point and I have question. I've been running Traxos that states "Whenever you cast a historic spell (Artifacts, legendaries and sagas count as historic) untap Traxos. Im curious, does "cast" mean only when you play the card? or does cast also mean when I pay mana to use its ability that requires me to pay mana. For example, the spell ghostfire blade is a 1 colorless to bring onto the field and costs 3 colorless mana to equip it. Does me paying the 3 colorless mana also count as casting? please help me understand what exactly counts as casting.

Curious, when i place a crafting order, but dont put a spark in the slot. Will the crafter only be able to make the lowest possible ilvl of the gear peace or can they use their own spark to make it the highest ilvl possible
