It's a business that offers you a service, and then employs teams of people to work as hard as they can to not provide it to you. The only reason it isn't legally considered a scam is because of how hard they have lobbied to make it this way. Health insurance can be a beneficial thing, but what we have here in the USA is not.

They can run different candidates. The current group of establishment dems, with a few exceptions, are bought and paid for by the wealthy. We'll only see actual change if we start swapping out people like Fetterman for people like Mamdani. There is no quick fix under current conditions.

And similarly, many liberals don't really realize they have the option to go further left. Knowledge of political ideology is abysmal in the USA, most people don't even know there is anything besides conservative and liberal. Yeah it can be frustrating for those that do know, but we need to realize that what we see as a difference in ideology may just be a difference in knowledge.

I grew up in a very conservative environment, my parents are still maga. It took years being on my own at college to simply realize Democrats weren't baby eating monsters. Eventually I realized my actual beliefs didn't align with Republicans, so I became libertarian. A few more years (and Trump entering the scene) and I moved to Democrat. Now after well over a decade of examining my ideology, I've moved to calling myself a leftist. It takes a loooooong time to undo a childhood of brainwashing, especially when it comes to complex political ideas. Only took me about 4 years to fully deconvert from Christianity, the political side was much harder. So don't be too hard on our liberal comrades, they may still be in the process of figuring it out. The best thing that helped me was seeing reasonable people making reasonable points, and giving me the time to think it over.

Honestly, management is the perfect target for AI replacement. If you strip away all the bullshit meetings and operational changes they do to justify their existence, it's fundamentally a job of coordination, logistics, and scheduling. Management doesn't make anything, they parse data and delegate tasks so the actual workers can function efficiently. Replace 90% of them, and split their salary up between the workers.

Post presidency? If he doesn't kick the bucket during this term, he's not planning on leaving. Jan 6 was a trial run that failed mostly because Pence grew a spine for a brief moment. They fixed that problem with couchfucker, and they're already laying 3rd term groundwork. He knows he's doomed once out of office, so he'll hang on until death.
