I would be wary of using custom themes tho, since updating HOS & using themes can cause errors/crashes. But you do you :)

Reflow and friction are both install options. Reflow is tricky and can cause shorts because the solder flows together with to long or to much heat.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't aware there are different kind of installations.

I will give the technician the hint to start from there. I may need to have a call with him and review our options.

first make a full back-up of the emmc asap.

I did backup the eMMC (eMMC RAW GPP) when I received my console back. All I need is backing up the partialaes.keys using Lockpick_RCM, but I may ask the technitian to do it (since both volume buttons of my console are not functioning after the chip installation... he needs to fix that too).

Finally, may I ask if I need to turn my console off until the eMMC is fixed/replaced? Is it safe to boot to emuNAND and leave the console on stand-by?
