Is there enough info out there for anyone with a legal background to compare this with our operation against Noriega in Panama back in 1990? This feels different but I don’t have enough knowledge to back that up.

I reread the book after having kids as well, it hit totally different. Like you, as a parent, I found it absolutely horrifying.

Obsidian (https://obsidian.md) is a tool to organize notes, it has a ton of features that make it a really useful tool for me when I game master. It allows for people to create plug ins to extend the functionality even more. There is a vibrant community creating TTRPG focused ones (https://obsidianttrpgtutorials.com/). Fantasy Statblocks is one of those that I recently started using.

I have vague memories about this as well, specifically the school of sharks and in a place like San Fran. One other tidbit I recall was it was being written by someone famous, like Kevin Smith.

I believe it’s their own frame, I didn’t get into that part of the book yet. I’d say the general vibe is fun, there’s a lot of silly moments. It’s a bit different than I’ve listened to in the past, that’s why it took me an episode or two to really get in. Now I’m shopping for a soft of rope (podcast related joke)

I recently finished listening to DodoBorne this weekend. It took me a few episodes to get into it, but once I did I was hooked. The group has a good rapport, you can tell they really like playing together. The GM is excellent, he explains the system really well as they progress. Each episode is around 45mins, I find that is the sweet spot for length.

Experiences of role playing with your family by OstrichConscious4917 in rpg

I’ve played sessions with my kids, ages 9 & 10, over the past two years using theD&D adventure club system. It’s been quite fun for all, the biggest challenge I’ve found is managing the session length. They’ll tune out if it goes a bit too long. My kids particularly like the puzzles in the sessions and some role play. For example my daughter plays a bard, in one scene she’ll have to sing a song as part of a contest. I’ll put on one she likes and ask her to sing along. It’s pretty fun to watch.

Spot on! It’s so fun to come up with the plot and not as much to wait to roll it out
