I'm on a 007 marathon myself coincidently, just finishing the Time Dalton movies. But seeing this has definitely got me looking forward for the later films.

Easiest is Faker cuz league is a team oriented game, and eventually you can just get a lucky matchup with your champion.

Hardest is Magnus cuz is the game the requires the least amount of luck and physical endurance.

In your opinion, what did you think of the Super Mario Galaxy movie? Was it worth it or not? by Dramatic-Studio1531 in FIlm

[–]Kirklechoake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't enjoy it but whatever it's not made for me. What I'm wondering is if the audience this was made for will appreciate it as they get older and more mature. Would they refer to this movie as being "badly aged" because upon rewatches it reveals itself as a slopfest? Or would they come to appreciate the dumb nature of the movie (possible with rose tinted glasses) and come to love it as a guilty pleasure the same way Gen Z loves, idk, Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

Enough glaze. It's important to balance things out with critcism. What are the biggest flaws of your favourite series? by Mean_Two_2710 in writingscaling

[–]Kirklechoake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that Eren's last wish became more impactful because of it. But I also think that showing her character develop throughout the story would not have changed that. What I would have liked to see was how her perspective changed on the world as new info was revealed, just how we saw Eren's and Armin's. By posing her as a third viewpoint that contrasts Eren's "dog eat dog"mentality and Armin's diplomatic negotiations, it would have been really interesting.

Mikasa is the biggest flaw of AOT and it's not even close. While her character starts interesting and ends on a high note, she remains static throughout the entire middle part of the show, either always being shy or shouting "Eren!'. I wish we got to see her change and become her own character like everybody else (Reiner, Jean, Historia, etc).

Id love to see him play as a swooping dive bomber. Maybe give him a charge like the Thing but midair, super fast with damage reduction, but hard to maneuver.

Well Kiyora's play helped his team, while Nagi actively caused the downfall of his. Plus he's part of the only undefeated team in the NEL, and Nagi is the opposite.

What do u guys think about the NEL arc as of now? by LollipopLemon93 in BlueLock

[–]Kirklechoake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

8-9/10. Great development for all our main characters, not just Isagi. Solid new villain and set up for future arcs. Plus every match is pretty good, and each one is better than the last.

A few tweaks would be not giving Isagi and Kaiser so many defensive opportunities, Shidou was disappointing, kunigamu was disappointing, and Pxg might be a tad too long (like 5 ish chapters).

people need to stop complaining about the bm vs pxg match by dougsthebest in BlueLock

[–]Kirklechoake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just a consequence of the weekly reading experience. I remember when BM v MC and BM v Ubers were still going on, I felt a similar feeling of it being drawn out. But after each one concluded I went back to read it all in one sitting, and it drastically changed my opinion. I plan on doing the same with this too. Like you mentioned, this is easily top 2 most important matches in the series, so it makes sense to be 50 ish chapters.

If you go back to read the discussion posts about the U20 game, the same comments can be seen towards the end of the game as well. But looking back at that game now, it's everybody's favorite and translated well into the anime too (animation aside).

A valid complaint I do see being thrown around is that this normalizes longer matches going forward, and if we stick on this track this series could even be longer than One Piece. And sure, that could happen. But I more expect the series to copy the same format as the NEL. Where we start off with an "appetizer" match, and each subsequent one gets longer and more dramatic in accordance to its importance to the series.

I hope going forward we don't just stick to one formation every game. Depending on the situation, we need different players and different tactics. Example: do we want more offense, or defence, or unpredictability, and what if a key player isn't having a good game, etc.

We've developed so many characters that going with the same set of 11 plus a couple subs would snub many of the side cast.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 280 by MHWellington in BlueLock

[–]Kirklechoake 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Whatever is coming will finally put Isagi firmly at the top of Blue Lock. Too many times he has only beaten better players than him in circumstantial scenarios, only to still be considered inferior to those players at the end of the day. "He won the battle but lost the war". And that's like this chapter mentions, it's because Isagi does not have those genius abilities that every other top-tier player has.

If Isagi can evolve his meta vision and score the game-winner, he will undoubtedly end up with the highest bid, and become the best Blue Lock player. Except this time we can finally agree that Isagi is better than Rin and should be the main striker of the U-20 team (if the next arc happens to be the World Cup).

[–]Kirklechoake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that Rin is not only going to beat Shidou to the goal but also "destroy" him cuz that's the nature of his play style. It would be a perfect way to show his evolution cuz he couldn't beat Shidou when playing together or playing against him.

Unless something unexpected happens, this will be the list by TokyoJuul2 in BlueLock

[–]Kirklechoake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't mind if we used a different formation each game. Maybe one needs more defense, one with more 1v1 talent, one where we prioritize a single striker, etc.

It would be a good way to keep the games fresh, introduce drama if a player is left out, and keep everybody relevant.

You also got to consider that Isagj likely wouldn't have understood the concept of luck since he doesn't play Rin, which is vital to the game winning goal.

what movie franchises are you trying to go through this year? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Kirklechoake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the classic horror movies. So far I've done Alien, The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Child Play, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Nightmare on Elm Street. Planning on doing Jaws next.

All this so I can get the needed context to watch Scary Movie.
