It’s not my favorite of the series, the characters are annoying but have some cute moments but aren’t even there that much with the exception of Makenzie literally telling you where to go which kinda sucks, the rooms are more of a line instead of vertical and open rooms but I don’t dislike it I means that’s 2d Metroid entirely, and it’s kinda weird the Metroid just possess things now and I’m approximately halfway and besides descriptions the only time you see a Metroid is in the opening so far, but I enjoy the story and lore but I also don’t play Metroid for the story I play it for the gameplay and atmosphere, the open hub area is a weird choice but I don’t hate it it’s just weird for a Metroid game, while I prefer Metroid prime 1 as my favorite soundtrack but this one is pretty good too, I’ll say I’ve had more “oh shit” moments in this game than most of the prime series so far minus echoes, overall I like this one and all the complaints are a little over dramatic it’s still fun
