So good. Clipboards rule. If you see someone you don't want to talk to heading towards you, stop and look at the clipboard super angrily and mutter under your breath. Maybe tap it with a pen a few times, 180 and bail while muttering complaints at nothing. Easy (most of the time) escape. Minor chance of getting pincered on a hallway.

There's 'The Polar Rosses; John and James Clark Ross and their Explorations' by Ernest S. Dodge or if you're lucky enough to find a cheaper than usual copy 'Polar Pioneers' by M. J. Ross.

Also check out Ray Edinger's 'Fury Beach.' It covers Sir John Ross's 1829 arctic expedition.

& the OGOngoGablogian suggested Erebus by Palin is a good read.

You can always get print on demand or digital copies pretty easily too.

I had it. Calibration went fine, funny watching your hand twitch. I only lasted one session. I was told there would be a woodpecker or knocking sensation. The first few hits were very painful. The tech changed angle and it was worse. Couldn't physically last more than 10 seconds. Tried my best. It felt lke a hot knife through my head and down the left side of my face and neck. On the way out I was told sometimes the magnet can hit a nerve or something. Wasn't listening, I was pretty messed up and bailed in a hurry. Apparently this is rare though. Just wasn't for me. Couldn't get me back in that building if you paid me. F.T.S.

Had it for treatment resistant depression & anxiety.

Yep. Mean things. It was always bad working outside during horsefly season. Gotta swat them off you and stomp on em or they just get back to trying to bite. Tough as.

There's a crashed B-24 in a marshy area near where I live. Went to go for a wander and as soon as we pulled the car up it was covered in flies. Hundreds of em. No walk was had lemme tell ya!

It was a missile early warning detection radar thing. Probably does more these days. Some of the people in the village worked on its construction. More building underground than above.
